  1. I would have to agree with the others, a one-off build would be much more satisfying. BTW, I really like your background, the C-130 is my favorite aircraft of all times. It was the first airplane I worked on in my USAF career, and we crossed paths a few more times in those 21 years.
  2. Really like what you are doing with this old Effy. Looking forward to updates.
  3. May be a while before I open it. But then, I just may decide to check it out.
  4. Did anyone else see the Ridler Award from the Detroit Show? https://www.foxnews.com/auto/1959-cadillac-station-wagon-wins-ridler-award-for-best-hot-rod It has possibilities in plastic, but that chassis could be a formidable challenge.
  5. Stopped by Hobby Lobby expressly looking for the AMT Firestone Ford F-150. They had one on the shelf, however right next to it was a '32 Ford Sedan Delivery and since coupons are limited, I picked up the Deuce Delivery. Looking at the parts picture on the bottom of the box it can only be built as a hot rod, but I do have two Vicky's and a Phaeton that could possibly provide the stock parts.
  6. Excellent build. I especially like the slight nose-high rake to indicate the weight of the car on the rear.
  7. Only have one real hot-rod in my meager completed collection.
  8. Excellent detail work. Nice clean overall build.
  9. Definitely a one-of-a-kind build. Your scratchbuilding abilities and attention to detail are phenomenal. I have really enjoyed watching this one come together.
  10. What is the cost per day/mile for this rig. I may need it in the future. Very nice looking build. I see plenty of these on the highway every day.
  11. OK you have my interest. I am going to presume it is going to be multi-shades of red. Hope you show details of the masking/painting process.
  12. X2 to what all the above have said. That is one beautiful Pontiac and your detail is beyond exclamation.
  13. Wow, that is some great looking weathering, very realistic. I know that is not the purpose of your post, thanks for the heads up. I have used it on occasion and have yet to have any issues. But, that does not mean it may not come to pass.
  14. Ain't nothing "stock" about a 426 Hemi. That red really looks good. Keep the updates coming.
  15. Another question concerning embossing powder. I was at Hobby Lobby looking for embossing powder and found the small jars. Right next to them is a larger jar of larger embossing powder https://www.hobbylobby.com/search/?text=embossing+powder&quickview=13638 . Has anyone tried this? Would like to know if the larger size would be out of proportion for carpet before plunking down $8 + for a bottle (using 40% coupon).
  16. WOW!!! is not sufficient for this conversion. That is some excellent scratchbuilding. Love all the details you have added.
  17. Beautiful tanker, as mentioned, that finish is really sweet. Could you show some close-ups of the pump assembly, or better yet maybe a WIP on how you did it?
  18. One mighty fine looking Chevy convertible. Beautiful detail work in the interior and an excellent choice of colors.
  19. Very nice looking old-style rod. I have seen that exhaust treatment on pictures of other 1:1's from the era. Never understood how they would protect the paint from blistering. Anyhow, you caught the very essence of the era with this build. Sure wish Revell would rerelease those wheels and tires.
  20. Very excellent T-Bird. Your patience and building skills are evident by turning this somewhat sow's ear of a kit into a very fine silk purse. Gives me some incentive to dig mine out of the stash.
  21. Going to be one wicked Camaro. Looking forward to progress.
  22. Really enjoying watching this one come together. The "minor" details are what is making it come to life. Keep those updates coming.
  23. Beautiful old rod. Where did you get those beautiful wheels and tires?
  24. Thursday I wore a T-shirt to work, it was in the high 70's tickling the 80's; this morning I will need to wear my overcoat to church it is 24 degrees. And they are predicting a possible wintry mix for overnight, glad I have tomorrow off. It will be a good day to begin on reconstructing my basement work space after having some drainage work done down there.
  25. A real beauty, excellent attention to detail.
