    Good looking build. That is one of the funkiest looking Ford bodies I have seen in awhile. That grille looks more like a late Packard than a Ford and the "fins" on the rear fenders are way out of proportion. Still, all in all you did a good job.

    Good looking kit and I like where you are going with it. Of course my mind's eye is seeing it with an injected small-block Ford and some 10.5 slicks out back.

    Would really like to see this one back on the shelf. I had a '74 regular cab and a '78 King Cab, loved both of them. The '74 was sideswiped from the door back, insurance paid fairly well, so I had the cab fixed and installed a California Step-side kit. Shortly after reenlisting in the USAF I traded the '74 for the '78. It should be fairly simple to take an extra body and turn the regular cab into a King Cab.

    Beautiful bodywork. Your scratchbuilding skills are outstanding. Love the looks of this one.

    Not really sure if you are painting the chrome with a regular chrome-type paint or if you are using Alclad or one of the Molotow chrome pens. If regular chrome paint (Testors, etc) than clear over the top of it is ok, however clear will take the luster off of Alclad and I have heard will cause the Molotow chrome to run. Hope this helps.

    Looks like a really well-worked shop, except the floor is way too clean. Looking for updates.

    Really powerful looking rig (but then, it is a FORD). Really like the scratchbuilding you are doing. Just wondering what is going to be put in the two holes right behind the cab. I hope that is not for an acetylene bottle, acetylene bottles do not really like laying on their side; it causes all sorts of problems with the valves and other nasty things can happen.

    Also brake fluid is a no-no.

    A possible source for the slicks is the older original issue of slicks from AMT; I believe there are a set of cheater slicks in there. The only hi-rise 2X4 for a SBF I can think of is in the Firefox Mustang kit, which I think you have already suggested.

    I had a "collection buyer" approach me at a local hobby show where I was attempting to thin my stash, he offered me $5 per kit. I honestly had to 'hold back my tears of joy" when I told him No thanks. This is not to say all buyers are like this. If you are serious about selling your stash, check around.

    Maybe if you were to narrow the front axle just a bit and add a good set of split wishbone radius rods the front suspension would not appear to be "too floppy". I like the direction you are going with this one; really dig those salty racers.

    Nice looking Chevy. That fuel injection looks similar to the one included in the AMT 53 Ford pickup for their Desoto engine.

    Doesn't look familiar, but the Crestliner scripts may have come from the Lindberg '53 Ford.

    That is one convincingly, beautiful build. Are those wheel weights on the wheels?

    The other magazine did an article in their latest issue telling how to make wider tires, maybe that will be of some help.

    Not really into modeling big rigs, although I have a couple in my stash. That being said this is one beautiful build and some outstanding scratchbuilding expertise. Excellent weathering job, also.

    Absolutely beautiful '40 Coupe. Got to be one of the prettiest bodies from Dearborn, and you have taken it to the next level of beauty. Super clean build.

    Ace, I can see your thought pattern on this, however to me it is still stealing someone else's work. Somewhere, someone had to spend countless hours making the tool for the original injection mold and that work belongs to him or the company. Remember the big tiff over NASCAR decals, tire sidewall markings, etc, because of licensing fees, quite the same issue.

    Hobby Lobby has been carrying sanding sticks lately. However I make my own using Styrofoam meat trays, spray adhesive, and wet/dry paper of different grits. Just be sure to apply smooth pressure to the paper to make sure it adheres firmly to the Styrofoam. You are then able to cut out whatever shape you need.

    What weathering? I though all MOPARS looked this way - said the FORD man. Really nice work. I have got to learn how to do this rust/weathering thing. Guess I need to drag some of my POS kits off the shelf and practice.

    Got my issue also. Read through it, enjoyed it immensely, scraped the cobwebs off my storage binder and filed it for future reference.
