  1. Not sure if it totally qualifies, but this Benz belongs to a friend of mine. Mostly stock. Except for the full air ride suspension of course.
  2. The interiors are just as glorious!
  3. Okay, well I guess if this now the official BRBO 2021 thread, I should post up my entry. And here it is. I have a couple of ideas for the paint, still undecided which direction. But I guess I have time to sort that out.
  4. I listen to and own just about anything. Well over 30 years of buying, collecting, and listening to music. Still have boxes upon boxes of my old cassettes and CDs. And I'm still buying CDs. Before iTunes disappeared, you used to be able to see how much music you had, in terms of number of songs, and how many hours of music you had. If I was to start listening to all of my stuff from A to Z, I had around 450 days of music. Yikes. A couple of big exceptions though. I do not like country music. Cannot stand the stuff. And I am not a fan of modern R&B or Hip Hop. Andy of that stuff like Drake or Beyonce or whatever is a no go for me. Old school rap like Run DMC or Public Enemy are fine, but that modern stuff is just awful. I'm mainly a rock and metal guy, but enjoy all kinds of music. Jazz, blues, 80s pop, funk, disco, classical, etc. Having said that, looking at my current Spotify habits, and seeing what is in my truck right now, and I don't look quite so diverse! 5. Thinking about it, Revell have done really nice snap kits before. The early 90s Caprice Taxi/Fire Chief car comes to mind. very well detailed, big parts count. So many options for building this one up. BTTF for sure, but I think I would try this one. 1978 Champagne Edition. Back in high school, a good friend of mine had the family van passed down to her. Spent a lot of time bombing around and roadtripping in that thing. And she still has it. Guessing it currently doesn't look as good as this one though.
  6. It gets said a lot around here, but that engine could pass for the real thing. Your efforts and time spent are definitely paying off!
  7. Although it is "just" a snap kit, I'd pick one up, purely because of the subject matter.
  8. I had no idea Revell did a version of this one! Definitely watching this.
  9. Except this is a prototype that hasn't been tested yet. All figures are hypothetical. I hope it's better than the previous Venom. I've been in one of those, and it was a seriously cobbled together car with a kit car vibe. This one looks really good though.
  10. Well, it's not a well known song, but I suspect it will now become slightly more popular. Alice Cooper just released "Our Love Will Change The World." It's the lead single for his upcoming album of covers of Detroit music. And here's the original. Alice has been playing this song live for a while now. I kind of wonder though...why cover a song if you don't really put your own spin on it? I mean, I like it, but at this point, you might as well listen to the original.
  11. How do you find Will Smith in the snow? Look for the fresh prints.
  12. Although I don't own this kit, I had briefly considered it. But the MPC logo turned me away. These old repops are terrible kits. I have a couple of MPC Chargers, and they are some of the worst kits I've ever attempted. Nothing fits, more flash than actual parts, vague instructions. Looking forward though to seeing what you can make of this. I can already tell you have more patience than I do!
  13. VERY interesting. The Rammstein tour truck & trailer is listed as 1:25, yet all of their other tour trucks are the 1:32 Kenworth.
  14. I'd definitely be buyer if a Jeep XJ was ever released, by any manufacturer. I could see a couple oif those on my shelf. I think I'd most want to see some re-pops or re-tools of the GMT400 series of GM trucks. The C1500 454SS kit, the C3500 duallie snap kit, the C1500 long box reg cab. Could easily do anything from simple snap kits to full detail kits, and I think these would just make sense, when you look at how popular and common some of the previous generations of GM truck have been. If they could change that extended cab duallie snapper into a full detail K series crewcab, that would be even better.
  15. Bay window camper would be very interesting. As long as it's a full kit, and not a Revell Easy Click version.
  16. The seats look tedious, but when done right, as you've done, it's worth it. THere's a part of me that wants to find two more of these kit and build the Knight Bus from Harry Potter. My kids would dig that.
  17. I was wondering about that multi-piece body and glue lines after painting. So it looks like there is no problem with building the body first, then just sliding it over the completed interior once painted. That's good news for sure. Good idea with the brass tubing as well. I've only just started researching and making notes on assembly for this one. Will hopefully be starting my build early in the new year.
  18. When its all said and done, I'm going to have a huge pile of unused Coke decals. Add this one to the pile, as I like the subject matter.
  19. It was featured in an episode of The X Files around 94-95. Mulder and Scully went to Arecibo to investigate reports that it was secretly receiving transmissions from an extraterrestrial source.
  20. Guess I should snap some pics of the kits I'll be using.
  21. Excellent job on the paint. And that front wheel fix is super easy and smart. I'd have probably tried something way more complex and involved, creating hassles for myself.
  22. I like it. Too bad the decals yellowed over time though. Still...nice build! I've often thought about adding lights. Did you paint the underside of the body black to try and limit the light bleed through?
  23. Really though, I guess we don't need it anymore, considering that we already know about the Galactic Federation and their Mars bases. https://globalnews.ca/news/7508152/aliens-galactic-federation-israel-trump/ Too bad they won't let us join. Seems they're smarter than us anyway.
  24. AMT sure are getting their money's worth from the '77 Ford van molds. First the Cruisin' Van, then the Coke version, now this. And really, why not? Relatively inexpensive to change the kits up slightly to try to capture different tastes.
  25. Interesting. You wouldn't think a 50s Plymouth with 80s custom styling cues would be an obvious choice for kitting. I kinda dig it. I think. I foresee a lot of custom Christines in this kit's future.
