I don't think it has to do with the update. The update and server move sped things up for the board.

Sometimes people upload HUGE files to this site, rather than resizing and using a lower resolution. Those files will take a long time to load, especially over a poor connection or WiFi. Then this will be compounded when someone quotes the post and keeps all the large photos in the quoted text. This is one possible cause to the problem.

You are more than likely following that thread. You should be able to go to your account and unfollow it.

Go to your account and look for Other Settings. Then click on Notification Settings. You can then modify a number of different settings.

I clicked the Share button on the Youtube video I wanted to post, then clicked copy (you will get a quick message saying it was copied to clipboard), then I went to my post and right clicked in the text box and pasted the link. Popped right up like above.

Are you pasting in the link to your post?

I am assuming they get paid for how many times it shows up as well. Probably get extra if someone clicks it. Dave spends a lot of time tweaking the ads. The ad companies do everything possible to to circumvent the filters. That is how inappropriate ads sometimes make it through.

Ads show up for everyone. Doesn't matter if you are registered or not. The ads continually find ways around the constraints we put on them. It is an ongoing game of Us vs. Them.

That would probably be a question for those at Scale Auto, Fine Scale Modeler or their publishers. We have nothing to do with them and wouldn't know what their intentions are.

All the Big Boyz have been merged with the other models, be it car or trucks. There is no longer a separate section for them. You can use the Tag function and call it out as a Big Boy, Large Scale or whatever you like.

The Corsair is my all-time favorite aircraft. I would learn to fly if I could fly one. Watching this F-22 at an airshow made me a fan. It does things that I never would have thought an aircraft could do. (this is one of the best aircraft photos that I have taken)

Go to Account Setting>Notification Settings and make sure everything is clicked/selected the way you want it. It is usually just a setting that isn't correct. If that doesn't fix it, post what you did here and Dave can look at it on the server side to make sure everything is working properly.

I may have worded it a bit harsh. So instead of "screwing us over", how about "essentially abandon us." It all just rubs me the wrong way. I feel like they are trying to fleece our little niche market one last time. Here buy this one magazine, sure it is three times as much as a regular issue, but it is full of all the how-to stuff you always wanted us to put in the magazine. Oh and we were able to charge our advertisers extra because it is a special issue. (That is more baseless speculation by the way) I also look at as, what if MCM were to do this 6 months or a year ago. Imagine the uproar, not from everyone of course, but there would be a VERY vocal group of folks on here posting every negative thing they could manage. Which, ironically, we would allow them to do, unlike SA. They would have immediately removed the posts, that made them look bad, and possibly the accounts that posted them. Yes, everyone can make their own decision as if to buy it or not. I will not get it directly from the publisher, but I may get one on eBay next year for $2 plus shipping though. I have said my piece, explained my piece and I will not let it go.
