  1. I will assume that if you do not wear gloves, then you do not wear a respirator. Both should be required when spraying paint. I wear both of mine and end up sweaty, but healthy, when finished.
  2. I have not had any problems with it being to hot. Like Snake says, it does go on thick and shiny.
  3. I just went to the local automotive parts store and bought a large can of engine paint. Just research the right color, there are a couple of choices.
  4. You will need to send Dave Ambrose a message to get it changed. Only he and Gregg have that ability.
  5. The first update had problems and did not work as planned, so it was rolled back. Dave just recently got the initial problems worked out (hopefully) and is trying to come up with the free time to try it again.
  6. There has not been a recent update. Dave will announce it when it happens or you will notice that the site is offline for the better part of a day. Peter is probably referring to an update that happened before I came on board about 1½ years ago.
  7. You have to be on the full size image, nit the thumbnail.
  8. Did not show up, only see the links. I Right-Click on the full size image in Fotki, select copy image. Then I go to my post, Right-Click and paste it in there. May not be the "official" way to do it, but it sure is quick and easy.
  9. Check and see what "Time Period" you have selected.
  10. I had to explain parallel and perpendicular to a guy once. I used cars as an analogy. "You are parallel when driving side by side down the highway. You are perpendicular when that son of a gun ran a stop sign and T-boned you." I agree, lack of common sense causes a lot of problems. I know a lot of book smart folks that don't understand some of the simple, everyday, things that happen in life. Funny and sad at the same time.
  11. I like it! Nicely done.
  12. Thanks all! I am slowly getting better and still enjoy building these models.
  13. Hobbylinc is slow to ship but they have weekly specials and have good prices. MegaHobby.com gets an aweful lot of my money and offers free shipping on orders over $100. I usually get my orders in 2-3 days.
  14. While it is not written in stone anywhere, it is generally considered good etiquette to avoid posting a bunch of photos in another members Under Glass thread unless asked to do so. It can take away from the OP's thread. As you can see, it is easy to derail/hijack a thread.
  15. That is not entirely true. I have access to most of Harry's model photos and because I was not the account holder, I could not see the photos. I only saw the "Upgrade" image and this was directly on Photobucket. Now that there is a fix, I have been transferring photos since Sunday morning.
  16. Looks good down in the weeds. Lots of nice touches that you have added as well.
  17. Sharp looking truck Steve. Thanks for posting it here.
  18. I gave a good old fist pump.
  19. Nicely done Jim!
  20. I spent the weekend and got about half of his model photos downloaded directly from Photobucket. I will work on getting the rest this week.
  21. Calling this one done! Finished photos in Under Glass section. Thanks for following along.
  22. This was a fun build. Went together pretty well, only had trouble with the transfer, windshield and side mirrors. The transfer case need a good amount of material trimmed away so that it would clear the interior tub when installed. The windshield fit very snug in the body and wanted to pop out while the glue was drying, tape helped a little, but I should have separated the side glass from the windshield. Side mirrors were just a bit fidley and I did not notice that they were not perfectly square until it was too late. I may try to fix them later. Overall, I am happy with this one.
  23. It's nice to have fun, but please remember this is a family oriented site.
  24. That turned into a sweet deal!
  25. I just poked around a bit and don't see a way to change the default. Looks like you have to change every time you wish to use it. I will keep looking around. You can also type your responses in a program like MS Word and then copy them here.
