My daily driver is a CJ so I can really appreciate what you have done.

Yes, the Penske cars were solid commercial Sunoco blue. The interiors were painted a light gray. Mark Donohue said it was easier to find oil leaks with gray. Even my old Kodak Instamatic agrees from back in the day.

Coming along nicely. Please keep us posted. -
Nice set of golfers. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting the Camaro pictures Snake. Does it have the diecast chassis and feels really heavy like the stock M2 1969?

Thanks for the clarification Steve.

I am glad you were able to find the Welly 356 Snake, a convertible right? But here I go: Both the Welly convertible and the BBurago coupe are too big. I think the BBurago dates back to the BBurago practice of making box scale models and for some unknow reason Welly followed suit with their 356. The photo below shows the BBurago on the left, a Fujimi 356A in the center and a Welly convertible on the right. I measured the Fujimi and it matches the published data on the Porsche 356. In the second photo is again the Fujimi but this time along side a Metro Model of a 356 and they match, the bumpers are deceiving. Why oh why can't we get a correct scale 1/24 diecast 356 coupe and convertible? Even the old 1/25 Revell 356 is closer to 1//24 than the BBurago and Welly versions.

Great scores and combined with your plastic scores what great day.

I am a fan of Welly diecasts, with Maisto and Jada down at the bottom. Modern BBurago is a big improvement over the old Italian produced BBurago but still not at the top of the list. Hachette/Leo are good but more expensive but generally under $50. Now I am talking low cost diecasts and not the Mint cars though the original Mint buyers, or their heirs, are liquidating their collections. Example, I just won a Franklin Mint Ferrari F40 for $19.95! As I have said before, I do not understand the product planners at Maisto, Jada, and M2 but I guess I am not the target audience (73 year old rivet counter). The latest M2 #6 Z28 Camaro is a perfect example of my lack of understanding. Back on my head. P.S. I can understand the marketing of the movie oriented cars though.

Nice looking model of the Brock design.

Congratulations on a super nice build, .

I am impressed with what you accomplished. Very realistic.

I had seen the Camaro listed online as having a satin finish but that did not make sense so I ignored it. Guess that was truth in advertising and I should have paid more attention. Looking forward to seeing the pictures though I think I just saved $20.

That is an outstanding build right down to the rivets on the windows and sills . Congratulations.

Oh no, now I am going to have to slip over to Walmart and see what they have on the shelves. Update: I checked my inventory and I already have a M2 '69 Camaro Z28 in stock trim. Do I really need another?

Bob - the GT2 RS in yellow with black is now listed on the bay by both Welly and Maisto using the same graphic.

I have this turbine engine but I don't know where it came from and I think it might be too big for the Howmet.

Good looking ensemble Gene,
