  1. An iconic car, an iconic driver, and an iconic model kit. It does not get much better than that and you are doing it justice.
  2. You need to change the title of this thread and titled it a tutorial. Great stuff here and a real learning experience even for us old timers.
  3. Coming along nicely and I like the wheel choice. The one pictured above was Pete Brock's personal parts chaser. Ron Cash did a transkit for the AMT Falcon Ranchero too.
  4. Last month I was looking for some 1/24 diecast Porsches and came across Raystar diecasts. They have mostly late model European cars and SUVs in both static and R/C versions. Then came the surprise, a Volvo XC 60 like the one in my driveway. Did not expect to see that. Very happy to add that one to my collection.
  5. Thank you Michael for the information on the Ferrari paint options. Very useful.
  6. As has been mentioned already it is easy to make your own bed or use a kit car trailer converted like I did.
  7. I tried to order the black Cady and was told they are not in stock yet. Bummer.
  8. Nicely done.
  9. I drive a 2 door Wrangler because I wanted a 4 wheel drive, a towing package, and a soft top. It also brings back memories of the one Uncle Sam let me drive for a year in a small Asian country some of you old timers will remember. Jeep drivers make it a custom to wave to each other except for the 4 door soccer moms which irks me no end.
  10. A great collection. You are very fortunate to still have those and I am sure the restoration of them will bring back some great memories.
  11. Looking good. Please keep us posted on your progress.
  12. Looking good Pico.
  13. I agree with Snake on this. The non-acetone works and does not harm the underlying paint in all the times I have used it.
  14. Very nicely done indeed and the detail is impressive. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Interesting painting of the Hooper building in the background of your photos.
  16. If you said it already then I missed it but what glue are you using? I did see you said hot glue for reinforcement.
  17. Nice. Thanks for sharing.
  18. This is my first pick, Convair B-58 Hustler. I may be bias because my first USAF assignment was at Grissom AFB IN, one of only 2 bases with Hustlers.
  19. Nice engine. I like the weathering, not all bright and shiny.
  20. Good looking progress Pico.
  21. Looks really good Randy and so fast, impressive.
  22. The C Type is the number one on my list when I win the lottery. Even a replica would be acceptable.
  23. Michael now you have my curiosity going. What paint brand and reference number do you like for Ferrari red. I also realize the colors probably changed over the years but I am interested in the '50s through the early '70s. My color sense is not very good and I have several Ferraris waiting in the stash.
  24. Came out really well Ray.
