  2. I thought Ace had it back on the bench!
  3. good stuff guys!!! thank you! I always weather my tires, just never used these because theyre plastic. So I decided since I have some to see if I can do something with them.
  4. I have some of these old plastic tires. Before I get rid of them, is there a way to make them look more realistic? I was planning to blend the seam and spray them in primer. any other ideas? thanks guys!
  5. looks awesome
  6. dirt and asphalt setup is interesting to me esp outside spring rate numbers. it's crazy how complicated turning left is haha my jaw dropped the first time I saw a pull bar work
  7. Traction is the big issue out there, We only ran 1 inch of suspension travel because we needed to be on a suspended car. To make the car hook, we were actually stiffening the left front and right rear to combat the unloading of the right rear tire. We also didnt run a posi/spool because "its not if, its when you spin a roadster" another way we dealt with traction was to ballast the car heavy. some guys even have weight bars in areas of the car to ballast one side or the other. Its not uncommon to see "hot rod" type race cars weigh in well over 3000 pounds BTW. car looks AWESOME
  8. If youre interested in trading them, let me know!
  9. Completed great trades with @Paul Payne @SCRWDRVR @Bills72sj @TarheelRick and Ricky D Thanks Guys!
  10. Ill be following! where did you get the wheels?
  11. I'm gonna do some photo searching when I put the kids to bed. my first thought would be bronze but thats common. maybe a smoked chrome or a chrome lip and painted centers
  12. coming out Killer! I miss racing on the salt. Horsepower and weight are your friends out there, and you have to rethink the way you adjust suspension to make the car hook. The surface for those that have never been there is like driving fast on packed snow.
  13. wait...so IM not the only one who gets to primer and lets their ADD take over haha
  14. i think (if it were me) Id raise the bottom of the back window to match the size of the size windows.
  15. this may be my favorite build in the section currently...and I have a build started in this section haha
  16. put me in line for the van please. A friend of mine had a van I nicknamed the candy van haha
  17. Hopefully Pat doesnt mind me answering for him. The body came that way. I was just researching them myself since I got a partial body in a parts trade I did years ago. The kit is from a MPC southern stocker stock car kit from the early 80s
