  1. They are all the same wheels (resin copies of the’37 pickup artillery wheels) and tires from the original ‘31 model A….just a different paint job.
  2. Chassis is looking good Bob, and that engine is a thing of beauty!👍😎
  3. Starting to get some final assembly done now. I went with the red wheels and they are epoxied in place so no changing my mind again. The windows and tail lights are in and the gas cap is on. I got the radiator and shell glued in and some support rods in place. And I scratch built some rad hoses for it.
  4. Go back to the modeling bench and put the keyboard aside for awhile.
  5. I have decanted it and it airbrushes beautifully. It would be nice if it came in a liquid like the Molotow refills. It would likely cut their production costs too.
  6. Definitely not the heat. I can knead it for a long time and the instant I add touch of water it goes soft and mushy. Further kneading dries it back out but it remains softer than before. Maybe only the Fine White reacts like this? I also have some Tamiya epoxy putty and it does NOT mix with water or react the same way. I do prefer the Milliput.
  7. Cool looking little car!😎
  8. Well adding whatever amount of water that sticks to a finger dipped into water ( 1/2-1 drop?) does change the consistency of a marble sized wad and makes it a lot “mushier”, so I would have to say it can be thinned with water. Perhaps it does shrink slightly…but not noticeably so. Just my experience.
  9. It works fine for me and I haven’t noticed any shrinkage. I don’t actually add water to it…I only have to wet my gloved fingers a bit to make a fairly substantial difference in consistency. From Milliput’s website: ”At all stages from initial mixing to final setting Milliput responds to the use of water. To aid manipulation and avoid sticking, fingers and tools should be kept moistened with water. There are certain instances when work may be carried out in a gentle stream of water under a tap. To obtain a smooth finish, mould or apply Milliput and then immediately wipe and smooth gently with wet finger or with a fine textured moist cloth.” https://www.milliput.com/howto.html
  10. Sprue goo works fine, but on a heavy application like that it would soften the original plastic greatly and take forever to harden up. I know because I did it on my ‘41 Plymouth fenders. I now prefer Milliput fine white for any heavier applications. It is two part, can be thinned with water and has no odour, cures quickly and sands beautifully.
  11. Advice can be offered, but like the horse led to water…
  12. Great looking engine bay there Dave!👍😎
  13. Mistakes need to be pointed out and corrections made or one will never learn.
  14. Examples of samples could be found in the Fuller Brush salesman’s briefcase.
  15. Sally Strothers played Archie Bunkers daughter on All in the Family and I’ll never understand why she married such a meathead?
  16. Nope! I had all the mockup pics to examine before investing the time in the new wheels. Just as a check, I asked the wife which ones she thought looked best and she didn’t like the red ones, said it looked like a Christmas tree…so I know for sure now that’s the route to go.🙂
  17. Wall murals are getting more popular on older commercial buildings and look a lot better than your typical graffiti.
  18. Personally I like the 17’s a bit better…but my opinion tends to change like the weather.😳 I don’t think side pipes would suit it either so you might have to do some creative exhaust work. Maybe some discrete exhaust tips in front of the rear wheels?
  19. Now you guy chime in after I spent the better part of a day and a half on the two tone wheels.🤯 Actually, the more I look at the pictures, the more I agree that the red wheels are a nice contrast. The green wheels tend to make it all look a bit drab.🥴 Seriously, thank you guys (and everyone) for your honesty and input.🙂
  20. I agree, the last two are more like wings than fins.
  21. Hair…I remember hair, it used to grow out of my scalp.
