Prayers for your mom and family Carl. Strokes are a terrible thing to happen to a person. My father in law had one over a year ago. Been really tough on the whole family as he refuses to go to a nursing home and he's totally dependant. I hope your mother is able to recover and come back home. She kinda sounds like mine. My mother mowed and weed eated her yard until she was 83. I had to make her stop then.

Thanx to everyone for all of the great comments! I appreciate it!

I like the look it has! To me, the headlights are too low. Maybe try a set from a '39 Chevy blended in higher on the fenders?

Really like what you've done so far Craig! Especially with the interior and the paint job!

Chevy Impala '70 (gun metal with black custom roof)

Nice looking Impala! -
Thanx everyone for all of the great comments! I appreciate them! Thanx! I'm actually thinking about going back to the Keystones I had on it originally or using the Magnums from the kit on the front with a pair from the Buick GSX on the rear.

'68-72 Chevy PickUp rummors about reissue?
Plowboy replied to Sergey's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
The biggest difference between the '65-'72 and '73 up F-100s is the front suspensions. '65-'72s have the I beams mounted to the opposing frame rail and the radius arms were mounted closer to the ends of the I beams. '73 and up F-100s have the I beams center mounted to the cross member and a little farther from the ends of the I beams. The Moebius chassis also has the messed up cross member between the radius arm mounts on the chassis. That's why the dual exhaust (that was never factory on a Ford pickup) is squeezed up to the transmission. So, yeah, it's the wrong chassis for the '65-'72s. The floorpan? I've never seen a Ford pickup that the floorpan was six or seven inches above the rocker panels. -
Thanx again everyone! I appreciate the comments! It feels good to finally stick an old project on the shelf! I have so many that I don't know if I will ever get through all of them. Some are so old, they're out of date!

The ‘other’ mag is stopping publication

I won't miss SA's magazine or forum when the time comes. With the various forums on the 'net, there's no need for either one any longer. -
I seriously doubt that Round2 will try to pass off the Blazer as a Jimmy.

That's a cool little V-Dub Tom! Colors are spot on! Wheels really sets it off! Makes me want to build one.

Geez! Somehow, Revell managed to make the '69 dash look worse than the '68. The convenience cluster is leaned in even worse. Does the grille at least fit the body better?

That's a wicked looking Pro Streeter! The engine is very impressive looking! The stance is just right! Do you have any photos with the hood on?

This is what the TS-21 looks like with three coats of TS-13. It has a pretty brassy look right out of the can. But, the clear tones it down and darkens it some.

Just finished this one up. It's an old project that I started years ago when someone asked how to fix the drooping rear section. I hatched a plan, hacked it up, put it back together, got it painted, didn't like it, stripped it, got it back in primer and lost interest for years. When I canned it, all I had left to do was paint the body, bumpers and assemble it with a few added details. So, there wasn't a lot of work left to do. I painted the body with Model Masters Dark Bronze, Tamiya Pure White with Tamiya Clear and gave it a quicky polish. I added wheels and tires from the Revell '32 Ford. Also added a few photos etch pieces to finish it off. Thanx for checking it out!

Which is wrong for every F-100 kit Moebius has put it under. -
Very cool looking little hot rod Mark! You really have an eye for weathering! I wish I could weather one half as well as you can. Someday, you and I need to trade paint jobs.

Really nice looking Duster! The color and the Cragars makes it! Nice work!

80's bronco's
Plowboy replied to Plastic_Passion's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Revell's Bronco has a sun roof and was issued with a boat and trailer once. Revell did reissue the Monogram Bronco some years ago. But, kept the Monogram label. -

The Revell '80s Bronco is 1/25 scale and wouldn't work with the Monogram 250 or 350. You would have to use a Monogram Bronco which is 1/24 scale. Even with both being the same scale, the body lines may not line up exactly. -

No, it isn't. They're the same. The doors and cabs are the same from '80 to '96. -

I built the Monogram Bronco many years ago. No photos currently. It would be the kit you would need to do the '90 as they're both 1/24 scale. I would use the single wheel instead of the dually to do the quarters with. -
They're definitely bigger than 19 and 20. I haven't measured them either. They seem more in the range of the California Wheels that Revell makes to me.
