  1. Thanks! great tip! Will try it out at the next opportunity! I did miss that the side markers should have been body color! Well BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH happens. Thanks! Yes it’s actually nice. Will buy a second one so I can build it with engine which this fleebay kit did not.
  2. I have been doing some trying out on the body. Emptied the last from the tamiya can for the final coat, after the removal of some dust with a fine grit paper. Came out ok but far from great since it spluttered a bit. No clear since my paintbox is damaged at the moment. And then I won’t over with a marker to paint the chrome. Lesson learned. Mask for the chrome work my hand is not steady enough. put the front wheels on and made some modifications to the rear tires, replaced the old style with a set from a 1:25 corvette but they where made for a bigger tire so I used canopy glue and paint to make it look ok.
  3. Wickid! looks sick!
  4. Both are beautiful builds! Great work there!
  5. Great work! looks verry sharp!
  6. If i where to attend a 24h build, which I won’t since I have two small kids, I would go for any tamiya kit. So little prep before paint and the kit go together so well. Of yours I would go with GTO... just because... GTO ?
  7. Looking realy good! I have been following along al the way but missed some where. was't it 3 you where building from the beginning?
  8. You are making good progress! That engine is looking realy good, the details in the casting is so much better than wat we se in the standard kits! Keep it going!
  9. Beautifull builds al of them! the Yenko engine is absolutley stuning!
  10. That windshield sounds cool might worth a second kit ? Thanks! I am a car nut and missed working with fun cars, personal situation does not allow for fun cars at the moment, and this was a substitute. Also i like watching them on my shelf so i guess i missed Cars =D Yes it was a bit of a tradgidy with the cabinet and I am verry pleased that i managed to save the supra from what easily had been defeat. Also it feelt good to actualy overcome the obstacle of striping a boddy and repainting it. Painting has always been my least favourite thing with model building, built me a cabinet for that to make it easier. Hehe he is good for being age 5, and now we are doing alot of instruction reading on Lego, quite advanced stuf, so it will be nice to se his progress next time we build a modelt together ?
  11. I did not think about the missing windscreen, most likely due to the type of car ? here is my 2020
  12. Nice builds! Cool with the black and that 66 chevy is sinister!
  13. Nice! First ipmressios on the new Skyline and Supra?
  14. Will be following! This a al time favorite of mine. Sweed as I am this car have been seen, not in person but in Mags over the years.
  15. Cool build!
  16. Interesting. I guess it’s up to the storage manager to decide what’s in there. I will ask them if they can order the Mog and mustang. ?
  17. Really clean! Great work there!
  18. Beautifull! Really came out great! Tamiya is some thing special to me, I like when I don’t have to re engineer a kit to make it look the part!
  19. Been doing some tinkering with the model and testing out the wheel and tire combo. Front wheel look way to big, so a smaller tire will be needed. Also ride height is wrong. Need to do a better mock-up to determine how much it has to be lowered but at least 2mm in the front. been doing some sanding to The body and trying to come up with a plan for the vents. I would like to keep them But they are molded shut and it seems like a pita to get them open, the plastic is tick! Use to work wit Tamiya and this body is so much thicker plastic. Will make it hard to open the hood as well with my current tools. I have also been fooling around with seats. Might go with a set of stock C5 seats to keep the illusion up that it’s a stock, just slightly modifyed C5... it would also be gooD for highway comfort. Will se if I manage to cramp Co driver seat in there.
  20. You found those at dollarstore!? Great find! Never found anything like that on my local one!
  21. Great progress! Thanks for the tip on cutting the hood out. I plan to do that on the C5-R and will definitely need to reinforce it. Tacky glue, is that similar to school glue or canopy glue? I have been using tack-it ,white almost as gum for pre assembly but it tends to get lose and build a little height here and there.
  22. Some Great pictures of the C5-R https://www.artandrevs.com/news.php?id=177 https://www.turnology.com/features/car-features/team-raceart-and-their-number-006-pratt-miller-c5-r/
  23. Welcome! An other sweede here, from the north.
