The AMT '29 Ford Woody/Pickup kit includes a Schwinn Stingray generic '60s style bicycle with a banana seat, like so: -
Model Truck Contest Leaflet - 1977
Casey replied to Jim Whalen's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There was an AMT Truck contest each year from '73-'77 at least: AMT also advertised on the bottom of their kit boxes: -
By chance does anyone happen to have an AMT '65 Chevy II Hardtop "Craftsman" kit, and be willing to share some pictures of the contents? With Moebius' upcoming '64/'65 Chevy II Sedans, I thought it might be a good time to look over and discuss the good, bad, and ugly regarding the vintage AMT kit, which is never to return. I appears AMT captured the body shape quite well...: ...but the chassis is promo style, with molded in everything and an engine 'plate' insert:

Where to find a 1/16th scale Dana 60 rear end ?

I'd like to see a pic or two of it, please. -
I've found the only good source is using those from kits. These look good for generic lenses (i.e., no triangular symbol like late '60s GM car headlights): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-of-84-Clear-Plastic-lenses-for-a-vintage-model-kit-Emergency-lights/162999078388?hash=item25f3808df4:g:cscAAOSwva1a0lAA:sc:USPSFirstClass!53222!US!-1

I've long since realized if no manufacturer ever released another all-new kit, I'd be fine with that. There's plenty of room for more specific niches (vintage NASCAR stock cars, vintage drag subjects, etc.) within the automotive modeling realm, so the possibility of having kits available within the next few years which wouldn't have been possible under old Revell's ownership is something to look forward to, IMHO. If I'm being honest, maybe only 10% of Revell's new and reissued announcements each year appealed to be, and I only bought maybe one or two Revell kits at retail per year, mainly for parts, so until that 1/8 '55 Bel Air Hardtop kit is released, I can survive on reissued kits or buying old stock at shows, on eBay, etc. We'll all be fine, really.

Well, that's just gorgeous.

model king mustang bronco
Casey replied to youpey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
As Dave said, the same basic early "Funny Car" kit which has been reissued multiple times. There's a topic in the Model Cars: Kit Reviews section here: Same kit as the earlier Model King kit, with different box art...much cheaper on eBay than Model Roundup prices, too: -

I just received this kit in trade, and pics of the contents can be viewed here: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/886/1-25-amt-surf-woody As stated earlier in this topic, the dual stripe cheater slicks are quite nice, and IMHO, the best parts of this kit: I didn't realize just how small and slim this car is, especially the body. I'm not impressed with the engine and details, but considering there are better options available, not a big deal. The cycle fenders for one of the optional versions will definitely be worth using elsewhere, too: The color booklet is very nice, too, and great for reference when building the Surf Woody. Hopefully Round2 can dig deep and find the inserts for the Surf'N Van someday. That body is just funky enough to appeal to my eyes.

I like that idea. -
Thanks for the confirmation, guys. I would say that particular section of the mold never got fully cleaned up nor smoothed out. Good thing it's on the inside of the body.

For one specific kit? Also yes, odds are not in your favor, Luc, sorry. This one was on eBay a few months ago: -
Here's a look inside the T.J. Hooker version of this same kit, from 1982: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/906/mpc-dodge-monaco-police-car
