  1. Is that a Southeast Gassers Assoc. car? Looks familiar...
  2. Those appear to be AMT tires, based on the semi-clunky looking tread blocks. If so, they were in some early 2000s kits, but I can't say exactly which. The reissued AMT 1962 T-bird included Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, though they had a thin whitewall(!) on one side:
  3. Start here: It's basically a slightly de-contented version of the J-2000 kit's engine, with some of the fancier intake parts eliminated.
  4. Looks great, Charlie. That trick using the (still liquid) resin has saved me from having to sand out some obnoxious ejector pin marks in a recess a few times too.
  5. What "woes" are you referring to? The Ford Bronco seems to be selling like crazy and the '70 Charger R/T also seems to be a good seller. I think future releases may be more closely tied to parent company Hobbico's disappointing 2016 and not-predicted-to-be-much-better 2017. The '30 Model A will be back in production, the first of the new Foose kits will be out, and the '66 Suburban should sell well, too.
  6. Yup. Revell knows nobody else is going to create an all-new Ford Anglia kit to compete with this one, so they're going to keep reissuing this kit and it's companion Thames Panel until they are too worn to produce a buildable model...and we'll keep buying them.
  7. Here is a pic of the circa 1985-ish AMT '58 Impala's deep dish steel wheels, but they don't have the axle rod mounting stud on the backside: Looks like your wheel has a much deeper hub bore, as well as a convex hub nut cap(?) detail, too.
  8. The AMT Jolly Green Gasser '65 Galaxie does appear to have been molded in a funky green color, but I don't think it ever had deep dish steel wheels: https://youtu.be/fgz9kNsz2S4?t=22s
  9. Very much so. I file this kit under "just glad to have an injection molded Ford Anglia body" and would be happy just to see the two-piece tires eliminated forever. Maybe that was done in previous issues of the shared kits, though?
  10. It's the "sugar scoop" headlight openings the Pinto and '74-'77 Camaros share, and he park bench sized, angular bumpers in part, too. It's only a matter of time before Round2 unleashes the other loser cars, Adam-- AMC Matador coupe, Chevy Chevette, and *gulp* the dreaded L-body Mopars. You should be set for a few years at least.
  11. Well, that I will agree with. Sounds to me like they are doing a special kit combining all the parts for all versions of this kit. The Dual Drive version was reissued in June of 2009 and is still a current item, so maybe Round2 is trying a creative method to get rid of excess slow-moving stock. As James said, this kit won't be available for a few months: Made By: AMT Item: 1046 Scale: 1/25 Apr - May Arrival Added to catalog: 12/6/2016 Recommended Age: 8 and up White Freightliner 2-in-1 SC/DD Cabover Tractor (75th Anniversary) Plastic Model KitPaint and Glue required
  12. The Revell '68 Hemi Dart kit did include two complete engines. I think the original issue of the Revell-Monogram Pro Modeler '69 Dodge Charger R/T kit included both the 426 Hemi and the 440 Magnum, the latter of which continued on in the later version of the '69 Charger R/T and now the '68 R/T. The AMT '70 Dodge Coronet R/T Pro Street Kit included parts to build both the regular 426 Hemi and the experimental DOHC Hemi, but the block and trans were shared, so you could only build one complete engine.
  13. Are the new Goodyear Rally GT tires 15" in diameter? I think the 4-slot wheel are 14", though, aren't they? Nice to see the 13" BFG Advantage T/A tires re-appear, too.

  15. I see now you're uploading each image via the forum's attachment method, so yes, eventually you will run out of space. Looks like you got it working again, though. I don't envy the work you put into the grille, but it was time well spent.
  16. The above pic of the body and frame is 1600x1000 pixels, so a fairly good size image. I'm going for something a little earlier, which is why I am going with the early AMC V8...though the Buick engine would be easier for sure.
  17. They should fit the Revell body without any issues. You may need to finesse them around the rear wheel arches a bit (though the arches aren't flared like on the Vega body), so having some decal setting or softening solution on hand wouldn't be a bad idea.
  18. .
  19. They did: http://www.collectormodel.com/mpc/3448-mpcs-stroker-mcgurkss-ghost-of-america-set-to-take-off/#sthash.wSRJdZeN.dpbs Anybody know for sure what scale the Allison engine is?
  20. I just noticed on Stevens' and MegaHobby they are listed as "Out of Stock", so was just curious. I have no interest, but thought I recalled them selling quickly last time.
  21. I love how Darlene used ALL CAPS, ALL THE TIME. She even made one sentence BOLD to let you know she meant business. Was there ever a clear distinction between JO-HAN and X-EL's products? Was JO-HAN strictly a producer of unassembled kits and X-EL for assembled promotional models? I recall seeing the taxi ('56 Plymouth, maybe?) and '55 Pontiac, both with green glass for $34 or so in 1993 at Model Empire (then still Hobbytown) and scoffing at the price. "Who would want green glass", I wondered...still do.
  22. The three Revell kits you mentioned are the same basic kit, save for different decals, wheels, and a few other small parts...Sox & Martin version, too. A very good kit, but the rear quarter panels slope downward a bit too much, IIRC. Otherwise, builds up nicely. The soon-to-be reissued MPC '70 is good, too, and based on the new-in-the-late '80s AMT '68-'69 Mopar B-bodies, with the old MPC body parts added in. The Dirty Donnie version is the Pro Street version, with super wide rear tires, the optional DOHC Hemi engine, and P/S style suspension. If you want a stock looking car, avoid the Pro Street versions. Original '70 MPC? Meh, not worth the money when the refreshed "newer" MPC '70 is easily found for $15.
  23. I think these were either eBay listings or found combing the interwebz. I have very little JO-HAN literature in my possession so far.
  24. Is this kit sold out already? If so, not too surprising based on previous issues selling out quickly, but dang, that was quick.
  25. Looks like the final box art for the forthcoming 1/25 Revell Foose Ford FD-100 Pickup kit has been released:
