  1. Great work, this is one of my favorite 60's drag cars. Love it ?
  2. Isn't that lovely! Sounds even better here ?
  3. That's funny! Reminds me that while I may not be the first, I am one of only two known people to receive parts from both Arrowhead Aluminum and Reliable Resin.
  4. Yes prayers from here too. Bless you both.
  5. Wow, that is so cool. Great idea, I love it!
  6. Fantastic work, I love the stripes, they completely changed the character of the car. Well done!
  7. I just realized I never left a comment. I love this Alan, you've done a fantastic job on this old it. As this kit is one of my favorites, and "grails" I'm always excited to see when someone builds it up. You've done one of the best ( if not THE best) jobs I've seen. Well done! ?
  8. Yuck. Maybe it will look better in person. If they had to accentuate the vertical grill component, why not something like this?
  9. Did anyone ever find the Johnny Zupan (formerly Louis Bettancourt) '49 Merc? It was stolen from Dean Jeffries' parking lot in the 70's and disappeared. I swear it was sitting in a driveway near my work in Oakland, CA around that time. The stacked quad headlights were a give away. It looked just like this: EDIT: I just read a post from 2017 on the H.A.M.B. that the car had been traced to the San Francisco Bay Area but that's as far as anyone got. That's gotta be it.
  10. I'm sick of seeing "darlene from go daddy" !?
  11. Aardvark/ModelMartin did two, the Bug Zapper and Ornery Otto. You might contact Andy here and ask if he has any left: modelmartin@comcast.net
  12. One of my favorite groups at the moment, the Dead Daisies. Guys have been in G'n'R, INXS, Stones, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, The Cult, NIN, Motley Crue, Foreigner, Journey, Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc.
  13. That's looking fantastic ?
  14. I've forgotten who did this, but he used the tonneau cover from the AMT '59 El Camino as the mold.
  15. Yep, that kit has been on my want list for a long time! Not super hard to find, but super expensive ?
  16. I'm surprised no one mentioned this. I love the L'il Coffin, but I love the first version(s) the best.
  17. I don't know about that name, it looks pretty special to me lol. I dig it RRR, well done, ticks all the traditional boxes. Beautiful chop and it shows your usual meticulous workmanship!
  18. That's a beautiful recreation, such clean workmanship. Well done! ?
  19. Do you have a pic of the front of this? I'd like to see what you did with the molded in headlights and grille. That's been a stumbling point for me.
  20. I love this, great job ?
  21. Seems (to me) his project was doomed as soon as he committed himself to making it in styrene. I'm sure that excited a lot of folks. I was one of them, just not $50 excited.
