  1. Very interesting. I’m watching.
  2. An amazing transformation. I just spent the last 40 minutes enjoying your progress on this cool project. When I saw the opening photo of what you started with, I thought “no way”. You’ve shown me wrong. Impressive effort.
  3. Yes, the Sharpie brand markers have distracting a purple sheen. Look for other brands. I have a Bic chisel tip and a Deserres double tip (chisel on one end and medium round on the other). Both have solid black, alcohol based ink and lay down a nice line without the purple sheen.
  4. I almost always go with black, especially in a muscle car, but having said that, gulf stream aqua looks real classy with white.
  5. Cool project. I like what you’ve done on the old Ford. Looking great
  6. I’m blown away by how complex that wheel assembly is.
  7. Very cool! A stunningly brutal dragster. Excellent craftsmanship. Are the wheels hand laced?
  8. Very nice! I’ve always been intrigued by small scale builds since I first became aware of them in SAE in the 80s. I should have a go before I’m too old and decrepit to manage one.
  9. Looking good. Nice job with the decals.
  10. Nice! I like where you’re going with this. I’ll be watching. Never knew this kit existed. Is it a Revell tool or did it originate somewhere else?
  11. Yup, agree with this
  12. Is the engine soft mounted, or does the whole car shake?
  13. I think you’re getting the hang of it. Nice clean build.
  14. Very nice! Good looking paint.
  15. Very cool! Coming along nicely.
  16. I use Gunze Mr Surfacer, dolloped on with a brush. It dries quickly, then sand. It feathers out beautifully. It works so well that I can relax while scribing. I used to find panel scribing nerve wracking, especially tricky corners, for fear of a slip. Now, knowing I can easily and seamlessly repair any slip, I don’t worry about it. This allows me to scribe with confidence, and being more relaxed I found I made fewer slips. Win win.
  17. Yes, I would think that was a very good buy. I seriously considered making a run at either of those Fords, but decided against it. They were the nicest examples I’ve seen offered.
  18. Very nice conversion. You grafted the elements of the two kits together beautifully. An excellent bit of GT-40 history. The wheels look nice. Do you have a link for them? I googled Passion for Racers, but couldn't find anything relevant.
  19. Nice pair of little MGs.

Nicely done. The rust is very convincing, especially the staining. Very cool.
  21. She’s a beauty. Nicely done.
  22. Oh, very nice. Looking great so far.
  23. I do the same. All my sanding on the body is block sanding. Very effective at panel joints for keeping everything flat and sharp. I use a white vinyl drafting eraser, and have one end trimmed at an angle to get tight into corners. Sometimes I’ll trim an edge to a radius to suit a particular spot.
  24. Wow! Outstanding! That is absolutely beautiful.
  25. Just found this thread. Very nice work. Your mods are looking great. Cool project. Looking at the first photo in this thread, I’m wondering if that big Dodge fit through that little garage door.
