Last American Hero had some time shifts to speed things up....but the car stuff was pretty accurate. -
These were late bankruptcy era kits.....were they were doing anything on the cheap to stay alive. As you show....with work they turn out OK

1/25 resin turbine engine
Dave Van replied to cobraman's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Which turbine would be a good start. Chrysler car unit, Chevy Titan unit, Ford unit??? -
That 34 Ford is a all time favorite. I hope they include the stake bed too. One of my builds....another on the bench.

What's the latest Revell North America News
Dave Van replied to Phildaupho's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The new Revell USA had to start from zero. It has not been a perfect restart with some stumbles. Some issues caused the last round of new and restock to go to some while others got none. The folks in charge say they are working hard to get things righted and running smoothly. They may be bringing some of the old staff back on to get things rolling. Right now we nave to give them time. -

Nice work......I saw Ryan win when we went to the Roval race. -
Has anyone built this?
Dave Van replied to El Roberto's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
There are many different Lindberg eras.......and kits under the lindberg brand come from Lindberg, IMC, Pyro, AMT and others, So you can't make a blanket statement on all the kits that is 100% correct. -
ROOKIE!!!!! I may have builds as old as you!!! A few days ago dug a 1974 build out of my storage area. It's a David Pearson model and when David passed it triggered the build. It's not state of the art....but love it still. I have been in the hobby since 1962 and like you....have invested a bunch.....but it has been well worth it. And judging by your build quality I have seen over the years....you are getting a better ROI!!! Thanks

Dave Van replied to Billschneider64's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Looks pretty close to Tamiya. I have a mint kit so can't speak to how it builds but it's a Japanese kit. -
Can't wait.....thx

Vega P/S needed retooling IIRC and is in line waiting for that to be completed.

Here's a rare sight!
Dave Van replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My 46 Ford Super DeLuxe coupe has 15 wheels......at glance you can't tell if they are 14 or 15. So the 510 with 15 is not bad.....22 inch rim with rubber band tires........I might call you out!!! -

I still run 14" on my 66 Mustang, 68 Mustang, 73 Javelin and 74 Matador......call me a rebel!!!! I hate big wheels on classic cars. -
I'm in for a Mean Maverick......but in truth I can;t see it. I'd even take it minus the motor and wires if that would make it happen.

Beverage trailer
Dave Van replied to Spruslayer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No plastic kit ever made. Don't wait on a new kit either. Order the needed plastic from Plastruct and start cutting.....looks like a easy build. I just started a 40's era round nose 30 foot trailer.......the Coke trailer is lots of 90 degree cuts. This box van body toke a few minutes to cut and fit......
