  1. Wonderful job. Really cool. The added details really enhance the model. Hope you will be able to do future builds with your wife collaborating.
  2. Nicely done. Looks like you had fun painting them. Glad to hear its going to such a great little girl. Good manners are not seen very often these days.
  3. Cool project. An amazing weapon. Certainly wouldn't want to be on the hurled objects.
  4. Love it. Great start.
  5. Thanks Dave. The rules are pretty well defined and it is unfortunate that some want to clearly bend the rules. For me the site is an oasis from the craziness of the world. I enjoy viewing the masterful artwork of others and learning some new techniques. Thanks to all the mods for making this site an enjoyable place to come to.
  6. Great news. Every issue is getting better. Great job getting the magazine back on track. I know the entire staff has been work7ng hard to make this happen.
  7. The rodders journal was also one of my favorite magazes. I had #2 through about 69. However I did notice that some of the issues started to have more pages of ads. However at least they were car related and not for viagra or other things. Plus they avoided the how to articles which in some cases just ads in some of the other mags. I think that magazine can survive if they follow the rodders journal or collector cars magazines model but it will take some work. However I thing those are more niche magazines and they aren't printing 100k issue run and they are going to fewer venues. Definitely not super markets or drug stores. I still have plenty car magazines to read as I've kept most of them. I've never been one to get rid of them because they are a great inspiration reference source.
  8. Nice project. Those are coming out nicely.
  9. A friend just gave me a copy of 210. Given it a quick scan and it loojs lije a great issue.
  10. I just got 2 of the new mooneyes dragster kits. Will be clearing the bench and doing something with one of the kits, looking to add a t body and hemi engine to build the t version of the drag car as several mooneyes dragsters are bring done.
  11. Beautiful work. Truly an amazing model in progress.
  12. The thing is that there are several strikes against print magazines. Advertisers can get more advertising bang for the buck with electronic media than being confined to a print magazine. In addition there is virtually no lag in how fast information gets a out. Typically the info is 2 months behind with a print magazine. In addition the cost of printing and shipping have gone up dramatically. Print magazines need to find a way to adapt to survive. The old business model is no longer going to work.
  13. Just got the latest issue of Contest Cars and thought TV it was pretty good. Some interesting ideas. I remember years ago I would but 8 or more magazines in a month. Some off the newsstand and some subscription. I enjoy sitting down to read a magazine. I do search online more these days for information. However in bad weather would rather read a paper magazine and preserve the batteries in my phone for making phone calls. I agree with others that there are situations where a paper magazine is better than reading it electronically. I don't think magazines will go totally away but I suspect they will be smaller niche magazines.
  14. One thing you want to check references on are the torsion bars for the front suspension. They are not accurately represented.
  15. Looks great. Glad you were able to repaint.
  16. Books and paperbacks can't be compared to magazines. The business model for magazines is the larger tge subscriber base the more you can charge for ads. Thats why magazines offer such cheap rates for subscribing. The internet has destroyed that busuness model. Not sure if magazines can find a new business model that works other than going digital.
  17. Coming along nicely.
  18. Nicely done. Great color. Coming along nicely.
  19. Thanks Dave. Definitely a pain. And google is worthless in controlling the ads.
  20. Truly a day to be thankful. However dc for some.
  21. Nothing borderline about Peteski's comment . It is a violation of the rules. It is isolating the origin of the vehicle. I guess some still need to read the rules again.
  22. Don't see the tire, chrome or glass in that picture. Are they included?
  23. I believe that is the Monogram 1985? corvette in 24th scale.
  24. Nicely done. Great paint and very clean work.
  25. Sorry to hear that this has given you so much trouble. It a bummer that BMF has become so unreliable. Sometimes its best to put it aside. Beats throwing it into a wall. Better luci on your next project.
