  1. It does look sharp with those wheels/tires, but the original seem to have a lot of fine detail cast in. I can't help but think they would paint up pretty decent.
  2. Nice clean engine, and don't you love that they provide full accessory brackets. No floating alternator!
  3. Should be fun! Gonna be a tight fit, but you should be able to get it all in there.
  4. That turned out really nice. Very tasteful and understated color scheme, and my hat's off to you for getting rid of the T-tops and spoiler. Very attractive model.
  5. Really nice color choices on this one, inside and out! Wheels and ribbed bumpers give it that perfect hot rod feel.
  6. Good save! Love that Caddy windshield; it works perfectly here. The swoopy lines give this model that sense of motion even sitting still. Paint is period-perfect for a classic kustom! Well done.
  7. Sharp truck and sharp model. Lots of fun seeing this develop!
  8. Beautiful work on this one. Realistic weathering and attention to details makes for a really nice display piece. Well done.
  9. Yep, always interesting to see the more common, less dressy body styles. 66 is a handsome car, and I really like your choice of color. My first car was a Biscayne, too! ('63 for me; 283,powerglide)
  10. Big fan of mild customs, and this one is a great example. Very well done!
  11. Love this body style, very sharp Olds. You're painting it the right color, too, so of course I'll be watching!
  12. Thanks for that informative response. The metal-like finish of those look as convincing as any acrylic base paint I've seen, and better than most. Very impressive!
  13. Those have a nice appearance, are they sprayed or brushed on? Curious if they can be brushed ?
  14. Getting a really nice attitude now, love the way it sits.
  15. Looking GOOD! I love a red car, but I'm STILL surprised at just how good that Olds body looks in red, and it looks like you have the stance dialed in. Can't wait to see that one done!
  16. I think she's on to something there! That color should make the pinto a standout, silver stripes doesn't sound bad either. Do a spoon test, show us (and yourself) how it'll look!
  17. Those wires and wide whites look sweeet on that car. I picked up one of those bodies years ago in Louisville; love those fins! Are those wheels from the AMT Riviera kit?
  18. Red '32 with a blown engine and chrome wheels epitomizes Hot Rod! Very cool concept and clean execution. Gorgeous.

Very sharp; just screams race car! The stance is right on, just aggressive enough, and the color scheme is awesome; I can just smell the racing fuel when I look at this model. You've captured the essence of a drag racer perfectly. Nicely done.
  20. Nice build, and a different sort of concept that paid off! Makes for an interesting and fun display, after all not all cars are show cars. Well done.
  21. Beautiful! A very stylish custom, clean and subtle. Very well done.
  22. There was an infamous lawsuit, won by Ford, against one of the news networks for falsely exaggerating the risk of fire. The news people could NOT get one to explode for the cameras, so they actually rigged one to get the effect they wanted, and they got busted HARD for it.
  23. You have a PM!
  24. That came out so well, and what a cool accessory for a truck display! Well done.
