Not sure if the car on the magazine cover and the '63 Corvette that he converted into a race car are one in the same, but he did campaign an A/Gas '63 Corvette in his signature Candy Red about that time. Great looking '61 Corvette and Willys.

My wife disagrees with me automatically, even when she knows I'm right. This seems to be an automatic female response and then they let your win the argument to make you feel better about your self. Good thing I love her because she really knows how to push my buttons.

Looking at the ladies back a thought came to mind. Is she facing South or North when the picture was taken ?

1/25 AMT 1963 Chevy II Station Wagon with Trailer
espo replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
It wouldn't break my heart if R2 offered a 6 cylinder if for no other reason than to be used on other projects. I think most of use would have a small block or three in a parts box somewhere. -
1974 Camaro , continued

Been enjoying watching all of the body mods you have done. I have wanted to do some flairs only on a smaller scale than what you're doing here, but getting a lot of great ideas from you. -
Always liked the look of the "Sling Shot" style.

I like your ideas on this , and having owned a '69 Camaro for a total of 18 years in the past I have a great interest in them. I like the slight rack of the stance and I know this is only plastic, but if you were to go any lower you would need to either narrow the track of the tires to fit under the body or flare the wheel wells. Looking at your friends beautiful '68 Camaro, did he add a '69 front lower valance panel ?, you can see how Chevrolet designed the wheel well openings differently between the '67 & '68 Camaros from the '69 model.

Great looking interior. Have you tried running the flocking material thru an old Tea Strainer before applying it ?

Great pictures. Don't know how I missed them back in April. I like the way you composed many of the pictures centering on some of the main styling features of the subject. Many beautiful looking cars and trucks at the show.

A conversation via text with my sister....
espo replied to BlackSheep214's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I got a '51 Chrysler from a family friend many eons ago. He had bought it new and I was needing a transportation car while going to city College and I had a hard time making lunch money. He sold it to me for a $1.00. Anyway it had the "powerful flathead 6" with the Fluid Drive. You could use the clutch and reave the engine in low and pop the clutch. Nothing could touch you across the cross walk stripes. After that you had better have packed a lunch since you were going for a slow ride. -
Turned out great. I have never bought this kit for all the reasons you listed. I liked following your build on this and the way it turned out is amazing considering what you had to work with. Very clean looking finishes.

1978 Dodge pickup

Great looking OEM style build. The paint looks like something that Dodge would have offered and the finish looks real smooth. Nice clean chrome trim. -
Great looking paint work and all the trim is cleanly done. I like the Dirt Track rear tires.

Nice and clean looking. I like the Hood sides being off also. -
AMT 53 Ford PU

Great clean looking build. The blue color doesn't look bad and you're right it is smooth, it's very close to one of the OEM colors, in fact a coworker years ago had a '53 that was stock and was that color. -
AMT Dodge Van

Very nice save. Looks great and I like the texture of the floor carpeting. -
Great looking Merc. I like your putting the '60 Ford chassis under this. Any FoMoCo product that is the least bit Drag oriented has to have the Tear Drop Hood.
-
I agree, would be great if he could get that win.
-
Now that I look back at the pictures I can see my error. I don't see how you could ever get that body straight again.
-
That or build a model of a wreaked Camaro.
-
Beautiful looking. The paint detailing really makes this standout. I like the interior decals for the seats.

I like the molded body work and the paint and color.
