  1. Beautiful looking convertibles nice clean showroom look.
  2. Great looking build. I like the engine details and the wheels. I would drive that everyday if it were a 1:1.
  3. Based on the rear window design I'm thinking a '66 thru '67 Olds Cutless.
  4. Thankyou for the information. Another must have kit.
  5. Beautiful looking build. I guess building a great looking model is like riding a bicycle, you never forget how to do it. Using some of the military colors from Tamiya you got a very realistic looking OEM color combination.
  6. Great looking body fabrication work and the paint is beautiful looking in both color and finish.
  7. I liked watching your build on this. Looking at it now it is hard to realize just how bad it was when you started.
  8. Beautiful looking finishes.
  9. Beautiful attention to detail on your build. You already answered my questions about the carbs that you used. You had mentioned an issue with the hood fitting. Just an idea on any future builds of this model, it was common to put a stack of washers between the hood hinges and the hood so that it would sit up enough to catch some of the air build up in front of the windshield at the top end.
  10. Welcome aboard, there're more than a few of us gray beards around here. Both of these are great looking builds and I like the custom front end on the Chevy. The '57 Ford is really nice and near and dear to my heart as a past owner of a couple of '57's and one in this body style only in white with the 312 and the 3 speed with overdrive. Look forward to some more of your builds.
  11. Great looking build and nice work on the foiling.
  12. I remember a neighbor back in that time with a white two door base sedan with the 413 and a Torque flight. He had to have it pointed dead straight when he dropped the hammer otherwise he was having to steer sideways to stay in a straight line even with the Casler cheater slicks of the time. The F.I. Corvette was no slouch especially on a road course, but in a straight line it was going to be the "Little old lady from Pasadena" all the way.
  13. Great looking truck. I would never try building those mirrors myself but they look good here. Sometimes it just seems like a kit is fighting you all the way, but you overcame this one.
  14. Great looking stock build. Very nice paint work. Other than some trim moldings and the grill the Chevrolet and the GMC trucks are pretty much the same. Pretty common vehicle around here.
  15. Amazing looking body work. Great paint color and finish.
  16. Beautiful looking color and the transition of the roof onto the rear trunk area looks like that's the way GM should have done this body style.
  17. I like the wagon. Back when this was new you wouldn't want to be seen riding in one, now they're cool.
  18. You might want to see if you can find any Scottsdale pickups running around in your area to take measurements for the side moldings. They may be hard to find due to age but this would give you the correct measurements. As for materials for the moldings don't rule out Plastruct produces. I have used both and I think the quality is much the same and any well stocked hobby shop should be able to supply either or both products. As always there is the internet shopping.
  19. It's only plastic so use the Ford engine of choice and due a 180 with the oil pan to give you clearance on the cross member and call it good. I like the body work here.
  20. I like the stock finish. Good color combination. Hub Caps in the future ?
  21. Beautiful looking Gasser. I can see what you mean about the metal flake look in the outdoor pictures but the paint is outstanding and part of why the subject always looked so good. When I built mine I used all Tamiya paint products and it looks more like your indoor pictures. The chassis looks almost like a real one and I like how the interior looks.
  22. Looks great. I always wondered about such a body matchup.
  23. Beautiful looking finishes. Enjoyed watching your build on this and I like how you did the front body panels and grill.
  24. Great looking paint and trim. These were an interesting car when new always wondered why they didn't sell more of them.
  25. Great looking Mustang. I like the different light color you used on the body. The trim all looks very cleanly done.
