  1. Saw a bit on TV the other night about every day devices now in use in many homes. Much like Lexa changing your music, and listening to everything you say. Many of the interactive toys our children play with are recording everything also. The thing that got my attention the most was a chew tool for your dog. We no longer have a dog so we're not in the know of what all is available for them to chew on, but it seems that their is now an electronic device that they can chew on much like the old raw hide bones we used to give our dog that will now tell you exactly what their heart rate and location are. As for the automobile many of the so called improvements in the general operation are there to compensate for the deficiency of the vehicle operator.
  2. All great looking builds. Partial to the '66 SS since I owned one. You are correct about the VW. They're kind of fun to drive, but you have to keep the engine near the redline just to keep up with traffic.

    My 2020

All very clean looking and I like your build style.
  4. Great idea for the instruments. Your roof conversion looks perfect and the color helps show off the body lines.
  5. I like the engine choice , better than the Big Block that comes in the kit. The one problem you may run into with your wheel choice is the rims diameter and finding tires from other kits that will fit those rims.
  6. First I'm sorry to hear of your injury. I was kind of wondering what happened to this build. Your paint job now looks great and hopefully you'll be able to get this build going again.
  7. Great looking "Kit Car". I like that the owner found a very early set of license plates, but they would have been for a commercial vehicle with that number on them unless they are some of the "new" plates that California has started to issue.
  8. This has been interesting reading everyone's thoughts and experiences on Dice and Rear View Mirrors. I think a lot may have to do with geographic location as well as time. The first ones I recall seeing was in the summer of 1956 and I lived a short bicycle ride from the beach in Santa Monica Ca. There was a Cafe/Bar hangout there at the bottom of the California Ave. incline that all the "cool guys" hung out at. They would jockey for the best parking spots to show off their cars and I noticed a lot of them had the Fuzzy Dice usually done in colors to match their interior and or exterior color of their cars. While different the following year was when I started to notice many were switching to the rubber "Shrunken Heads" that PEP Boys sold. I even convinced my mother we needed one for our car. She would indulge me sometimes until I lost interest and then they just disappeared one day and I never asked why.
  9. Our newest car has all of these driver assists and I find them very annoying for the most part. I can see the back-up cameras advantage in tight parking spots. This last weekend we went too CostCo and everyone wants to walk behind someone when they're backing out of their parking spot and other drivers are trying to ram you even if you're already half way out of your spot before they get there. At home I back my vehicles into the garage as it seems faster and safer pulling onto the street when leaving home. With the back-up camera squawking as you back into the garage it is very distracting and I back up using the rear and side view mirrors with zero issues. Do I really need Launch Control on my car ? Not at this point in my life anyway.
  10. Good to know that Jeremy is regaining his health.
  11. I also remember your build on the truck and like how it turned out. I also think you picked the wrong time of the year to have the housr open to put in new windowsbut sometimes you have to do these things when you can. Your animals have great looking living quarters.
  12. I enjoyed watching you finish this one. I do like those flames.
  13. Some great looking builds. I like the way you put the Mustang roof on the Falcon.
  14. Beautiful looking Hot Rods. The Commercial rig and the steam roller are really clean looking.
  15. You have been busy. They are all built very cleanly built, accept where you would want a Beach Racer to not be. I like the wide verity of subject.
  16. I like how you built this with a modern take on a much earlier build style of customs. The paint is a real eye catcher. Great looking engine and hydraulic systems. The '50's & '60's style Fender Skirts with the more current large diameter Steal Wheels and the early Wide White style tires.
  17. This is the only Falcon I have done in years. While the body is pretty good the chassis and the engine, not so much. The paint is Tamiya TS-60 Pearl Green body with Testors #1845 Mystic Emerald and TS-13 Clear. The flame decals are from a Revell '56 Nomad kit. I used '57 Ford Hub Caps and some steal wheels with parts box big and littles.

    67 Camaro

Beautiful looking finish and color. You mention using a resin chassis and I'm queries as to what the advantage would be. Great use of different shades of color and finishes detailing the engine area as well as the interior.
  19. My condolences for the loss of your father. Your RT looks great. Very cleanly built and the paint finish is nice and shinny. I like the Red Lines on this also.

    My 2020 builds

They all have great looking finishes and a good variety of subjects.
  21. Great looking combination. The boat kit builds up to look like a Crist Craft from the same time period as the wagon. Besides the quality finishes on both I like how you did the things like the Receiver Hitch and the Roof Rack.
  22. This is a great kit and I enjoyed building a couple also so I'll be watching . I have a question about the changes to the front frame clip. The blue plastic looks like it is narrower than the kits white plastic ? With the section work done on the body, and this basic car was pretty low anyway, are you going to have any conflict between the hood and the engine ?
  23. I like your realistic crusty looking finish.
  24. I like the well used finish on this. The stove fits in perfectly especially with the advert under the display.
  25. Very sharp clean looking. I like how you detailed the interior.
