I remember seeing articles featuring the Super Bee/truck and really liked it then and now. Never recall seeing the Charger before but I like it also. The proportions of the bed and body as well as the roof design make it look like something they may have done.

The paint and body details are great looking. Looks like the perfect weekend track day car.

Circa 36: A customized blown & channeled 36 Ford 3W coupe

Beautiful looking build. I would never have thought of that Grill, but it looks perfect on this. The body and paint are very smooth and the engine and chassis detailing is special as well. -
55 F100 HOT ROD.

The Red interior looks much better. Didn't want to say anything about the Green, just thinking it's your choice. -
A small set back. Found some bubbling in the clear finish on the Sun Visor and the fender Skirts. After a 2 day bath in the Purple Pond I finally got back to bare plastic. Some trim had to be re glued. I'll repaint these parts by the week end and tidy up some of the chrome trim and install the windows.

Mission Impossible - American Graffiti cop car from a wreck

Your body work is really coming together here. -
Amazing attention to the smallest little detail.

Nicely done shackles.

I had to use Solvaset, and a lot of it, and the part of the decal near the rear edge of the hood still wanted to fold in a funny way. I was tempted to make a relief cut in the decal but held off and eventually the decal laid down. Lots of Solvaset.

I wonder if the "Balance" of the models appearance would look better with the rear stripe to match ? Maybe just try a thin bit of tape that isn't permanent on the rear just to see.

You might want to attend any city Console Meetings especially when the City Planning Commission is giving any reports about redo the streets in your area. You can contact the City Hall and they would be able to give you the time and place of any public meetings. There is a stage in the planning when the city would take input from those that would be directly effected by any changes. Many cities aren't very forth coming with this information as they are legally required to be with the citizens. This will help you better understand what it is they're thinking and they are supposed to hear you and how this action would impact you. If enough people share with them the problems that this may cause them the city may alter their plans to accommodate the citizens. Remember to present your issues in a calm and concise manor. Torches and Pitch Forks are a last resort if the city will not listen to your side of the issue.

Great looking shop truck. With no mufflers that has to be loud. -
1934 Ford tow truck and rack truck

They are both great looking builds. I don't recall ever seeing one built with the stake bed before, but I like it. Very cleanly built. -
Beautiful looking Impala. Great background story about why you built it and for who. I'm glad you got to share it with your father and I'm sure he appreciated it also.

Great looking paint finish. This should go well with the interior.

GMC Tow Truck fuel tank?
espo replied to Andrew D the Jolly Roger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
While the in cab fuel tank was common at that time I think most of the rigs with specialized beds also would mount saddle tanks that held more fuel on either one side or both depending. Ya the old "Fuel tank in the cab" did more to stop smoking and prevent lug cancer than anything else. Think about it. -

A. these are Edsel Wagon Tail Lights. Might be out of the early AMT '57 Ford Hardtop kit. B. Looks like something from a Lincoln Continental kit. F. looks like some of the AMT Custom Grills or rear tail end for a '60's Ford. The rest are Fender Skirts, Hood Scoops, and maybe a custom rear Bumper for a Lincolin

I have had almost an exact duplicate of your Lark on my self for just over 30 years. Your is a Friction Toy as you can see from the geared wheel that would have gone to the friction "motor" inside the chassis plate. Mine has a somewhat detailed chassis plate and the ability to lower it's ride height and I'm pretty sure mine is the JoHann kit model. Other than that they are even in the same color plastic. I bought mine from an Estate Sale and the builder had hand painted the chrome trim. I think you got a screaming deal on this one, just my opinion.

One of the main reasons I suggested keeping a log of any interaction with the dealer or the manufacture is you're building a verifiable record of her problems. Without going to the expense of an attorney the next step would be to go on her states web sight and look up 1. The Attorney Generals Office 2. Any Consumer Protection sight they may offer. Since this is sounding like a common problem and depending on her state's laws for consumers there is a possibility she would have grounds to force Hyundai to buy back her car if it has a safety problem that they are unable to repair.

Mission Impossible - American Graffiti cop car from a wreck
espo replied to alan barton's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Actually your roof and side pillars look very good to me. You have the general shape. I was ones faced with the door line issues you mentioned and a fellow builder told me to use a very strong plastic type tape as a guide for the general shape of the door openings and that seemed to help a lot. I can't draw a straight line on a piece of paper let alone using an Xacto knife in plastic. -
Have your friend look in the back of her owner's manual and find the Hyundai Customer Service phone number. Should Hyundai really not know that there is a customer issue they should be made aware of it. Start a log book of the times that the dealer had it in the shop, and save all the paper work from those visits. Be sure that she stresses to Hyundai the unsafe operating condition and that she has a fear of driving the car. Hopefully this will get someone's attention in their Service Department. If she gets stone walled by Hyundai there are Federal Agencies that can be notified, and the notes she has saved will help illustrate her problem. One question that I would have about her car is as to whether or not she has the Stop/Start feature where the engine shuts off when stopped and then restarts when you take your foot off the gas. I got stuck with a loaner once with this feature, not a Hyundai, and for me this feature would make the car sale proof.
