How many were wrecked ?

That is so smooth looking. At this point in time you can really see just how timeless such a design is. -
My model building days are coming to an end

So sorry to hear of your latest developments. I had no idea your situation had gotten to this point. I have always respected your advice and learned from your comments to others. Please stay in touch as your input and advice will always be valued here. -
Time to kick up some scale road dust....and some water mist, too!

Tim, Thankyou for your interest. I went with the all Chevrolet theme on this. The Boat engine is a Big Block and left over Blower parts all from the parts stash. The engine got turned 180 to match the Jet Drive set up from Calnaga. Can't say enough good things about their parts as I also used the Interior kit as well. I added Diamond Plate Steps on the trailer along with lights and License plate. The two tone paint job was to simulate what I had on a 1:1 boat years ago. Some minor smoothing on the Chevelle Wagon including the Hood and Tailgate, and tinted the windows. I always liked how you had your tow vehicles sharing paint treatments with the Boats. Only the High Bucks guys would do that in the past, it does cost a lot extra in real life. -
I have used Tamiya TS-80 Flat Clear and TS-79 Semi Gloss Clear paints to get various finishes on interiors. There are many other brands that can be used to get the same effect, but I would suggest you try and stay with paints designed primarily for our plastic models.

How many were wrecked ?

What honest and true "Car Guy, or Gal" would sit on their car in this fashion ? -
The interior looks nice. I wouldn't get to carried away with making the interior to shinny, remember it's Vinyl with maybe a little Armoral on it. Nice texture on the Carpet.

The going price for most of the main stream kits may be depressed by the Hobby Lobby resent dumping of kits at 40 % or more off their inflated MSRP. Many may be waiting for the reissues with better decals and tires. Some may have to hold off buying anything with the uncertainties in the world today also.

The front seats with the matching pattern of the rear seat looks like the best match. Adding the stock center console would add to the appearance also.

I like how your build is looking at this point. You mention your issues with the Rustoleum paint and I have to agree. I had the same problems with a different color on a build. The color was perfect but I actually had to sand all the way to the primer just trying to get ride of the "Orange Peal" .

Great looking Drag Team. I like the stance and the build style on the truck. -

Great looking build. I had never heard of the Resin Conversion Parts you used. They offer some good looking parts. -

Very cleanly built. -
Beautiful looking T-Bird. When I was in High School we had a neighbor who had a '56 this same color, and his had those Wind Wings along with both tops. This has to be one of the cleanest Little Birds I can remember seeing.

1930 Ford Coupe On '32 Rails With Pontiac 421 Power!

I enjoyed watching your build on this kit and it looks perfect. -
Great looking Cavalier. Not something you see being built very often. Nice to see it done as a basic Showroom style.

This is so cool looking. So many little details that you just need to look at the pictures for a while to take in everything that has been changed. The engine ? Flat head 6 cyl. Those tail lights ? The roof looks good to me but the rear window looks almost to large. The dash out of an early Studebaker ? The seat material and the blanket floor and door panels. A lot to take in here.

Beautiful looking Corvette. I like how cleanly all of the details are done and the interior/exterior colors look great together.

1999 Chevy Silverado
espo replied to Sergey's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I would go with wrenchr's suggestion. I have owned a '74, a '79, and a '95. All had body colored firewalls with the body sealer he mentioned along the bottom edge. I like how you masked off the chrome trim for the grill and front bumper. -
Well as the story goes in real life he may have lost that hat more than once.

While I have only built the standard kit without all the Custom features, I remember it as a great kit to build.

Beautiful looking cruiser. Very cleanly detailed.

I have always enjoyed your boat builds and wished that more of these kits were made available. Your builds inspired my to build this a few years ago. -
Beautiful looking '34 and thankyou for the back ground information on the kit. The problems with the first issue may be the reason I have never tried one since then. I'll have to see if I have any of the later and better done kits in the stash.

Great to see a stock build done to this high a degree of detail when you're used to seeing Hot Rods. I love Hot Rods, but seeing what they looked like originally gives you a real appreciation of the original design.
