NOBLNG Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 (edited) I got this one at a flea market and started it to get myself motivated after a summer of next to no building. It is a nice little kit. Pretty much a box stock build except for the tailgate chains, tail lights and cowl vent. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/165392-revell-‘37-ford-pickup/page/2/ Edited November 27, 2021 by NOBLNG 1
Zippi Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Looks really nice Greg. Love the colors. Reminds me of the 1:1 37 Ford pickup I had.
espo Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Beautiful looking paint and finish. Always like seeing some of the older cars and trucks built in a show room theme.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Cool. I've been thinking of getting the kit and now I really want one.
NOBLNG Posted November 28, 2021 Author Posted November 28, 2021 Thanks Everyone! It is a very nice kit and was fun to build.
TransAmMike Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Really nice build there Gregg. The green with the black fenders are perfect on it.?
happy grumpy Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Great build and color choice Greg . I love those fat fenders of that period. The dark green is perfect for it. You are right , that a great kit . Having a nice background adds up to realism.
NOBLNG Posted December 4, 2021 Author Posted December 4, 2021 Thanks Guys! The picture on the box looked good, so I pretty much copied it. I didn’t trust myself to use the decals though.?
Steve H Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Another great build Greg. I always enjoy your WIP’s and love all the tips and tricks you share. Your contributions to this forum are much appreciated. Cheers, Steve
89AKurt Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 (edited) That came out very nice! The details you added are noticeable, I need to try the cowl vent sometime. Have the kit in my stash. ? Edited December 6, 2021 by 89AKurt
KWT Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 Very nicely done. I'm not a Ford guy, but you can't deny old trucks, regardless of brand, are always cool.

I like to add little items that add to the realism or set it apart from box stock. 4 hours ago, KWT said: Very nicely done. mchook Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 Great job on this, it's perfect! These are great kits, I just wish the hood was designed different so it would open.
bisc63 Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 Looks great! I did the '37 panel truck once in almost the exact same color scheme, just not as shiny! Well done.
Bugatti Fan Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 Really nice model Greg! Commercials from that just pre war era make for some interesting model subjects, with plenty of scope for the imagination.
