Finally got this thing finished. It fought me at every turn for the last few weeks. Not my cleanest build but it's not too bad I guess considering what I was trying to do.
I really didn't think I was going to like the front end but it kinda came together after the grille and lights were installed.

Also. this is the Revell kit with the custom front and rear pan and tail light bezels from the AMT '65 Impala annual kit. The intake and valve covers are from the AMT '70 Impala.

Anyway,, the pics,,,,

That turned out pretty cool. The clear hood is a nice touch. The nose has a little Corvair look mixed in with some 67-68 Firebird. Was the injection intake part of the kit?

Absolutely fabulous! I just KNEW you were the right guy to send those custom parts to, that you'd use 'em and do 'em justice and you DID! VERY well done mah brothah and model on! B)

WOWSER.....that is pretty kewl.  The front end looks nice.  To me I can see a hint of a Corvair or a shark. It's just me. Either ways it's pretty kewl.  Really nice looking paint and I love the detail in the business end.

You have a talent for styling, this could very be a concept car that GM designers could have come up with in the 60's. I also love the color and the shading. Elegant and balanced. Simply beautiful.

Outstanding build Steve! Very tastefully done, one of the finest examples of integrating the styline parts and making them look natural.

Well done.

Give yourself a pat on the shoulder, you deserve it. We don't see many full Customs nowadays and yours flows so well, with color and styling and impeccable build quality. Congratulations.

What a beautifully balanced model!  Not a jarring line to be seen.

And I like the clear hood - it takes it from Winfield Custom to Corporate concept car/ motor show exhibit in one fell swoop!

Cheers

Turned out very well! The paint work is spectacular. I love seeing tasteful builds using the radical custom options of the 60s....that clear hood is actually pretty sweet too!

Thanks again guys.

This thing fought me almost all the way to the finish so it's nice to get so many great comments on it. ?
