The 60 El Camino was a want, and ended up being built by an older gentleman who was well known in our area, and had an amazing personal museum of his work, and collection of models and toys. He passed I believe last year. Very nice Elcamino.. made me think of Rich..

kelson Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 Surprisingly i found these on my local Facebook Marketplace over the last couple days, the 1/8 78'Vette is missing 3 wheels, but otherwise complete.?
MPi-KM Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 (edited) I got the original 1967 issue Revell Miss Deal funny car (one of my favorite models since I saw the box art in a early 90's issue of SAE. It's complete but a few parts of the engine have been glued together. Also got at on order from Scale Hobbyist: Tamiya's Ferrari FXX Gofer Racing/Revell Ford 427 engine (Yay, no having to strip the chrome off!) Aoshima 1/24 16" Longchamp XR-4 wheels Edited November 26, 2021 by MPi-KM
Modlbldr Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Got these great resin 20 inch Snowflakes in the mail today! Finally, after buying the Jimmy Flintstone 06 Firebird piece in 06 I finally found some wheels that will fit and look good. Now for the easy part-Getting a set of the blue Pontiac "Chicken" decals for the build. Later-
Bullybeef Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 (edited) After a couple of weeks of haggling and back and forth conversations, I finally managed to get my grubby little mits on a resin gmc crew cab. Now to decide if I’m going to build it as a 2wd dually, crew shortbed, or massage it into a suburban! Or maybe a 4wd?? I’ll be poking it on the back burner for a little bit. I’d like to make it it into a retro version of my shop truck. Edited November 27, 2021 by Bullybeef 1

espo Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 I would see how low it would go with some Pro Street type tires filling the Dully fat fenders. This would be great looking which every way you build it, but you did ask for opinions. 2
TonyK Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 You showed us some nice combinations of that GMC resin kit but the 4x4 picture jumped out at me. Besides, you live in Edmonton so I'm guessing a 4x4 comes in handy. LOL

Ive never need a 4wd while living here in the city!

But…..better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it! ? I mostly use 4wd to back up across the ruts in the back lane so that I can park beside my garage. The City does not plow back lanes unless impassable by the garbage and recycling trucks.?

I have a front wheel drive golf, there hasn’t been a time I’ve needed or wanted a 4wd, even with my old commute from Leduc to Sherwood Park.

What Ferrari are you going to build? I just got FPP's Ghia, but have other plans for the running gear.
