Not Johnny, but you can order directly from Carney Plastics. They have a TON of different wall cases available in different scales.

I went there and I didn't see any for 1/25 scale. Does anyone even make them? I'm going to be ordering some.

Picked up the "old" 70 1/2 Z-28 RS kit at HL before they all disappear. Still want to make a load of cars for my AMY haulaway trailer, and it might be 1970 Chevrolets. Would be nice to have both bumper styles as part of the load. Also got a silver and gold set of gel pens to experiment with.

Sealed 1995 issue of Monogram's Li'l Coffin.

I have a few gluebombs and partial kits of this thing, but I've pirated a bunch of parts for other projects. Though there's enough left to build a complete one, I figgered why not just get a cherry, and hack up the others. Kinda surprised to find a sealed kit 25 years later for not-too-bad money, too.

Local toy show day, the first in months and months. Got three NICE builtups: AMT '70 B/M Camaro, and two AMT '71 Dusters. They're not perfect but they're not your typical glue bombs I buy either. All three have some minor parts (mirrors, spoilers, etc) broken off but it all seems to be here; each might need some minor Snake-Fu detailing, about as much as a fairly good diecast. Good way to get three nice cars on my shelf for maybe a couple hours of work each. I paid $40 for all three, not bad at all IMHO.

Picked up another batch of useful goodies from eBay. Custom wheels from the original '67 Impala:

Underhood stuff from the '68 Toronado, including a really good power brake unit with single pot master cylinder:

And all the custom/drag rolling stock (but no compact tires) from the '70 Opel GT, which now gives me four of those sharp only-one-issue 13" five-lug chrome reverses, plus these odd 6-lug 6-spoke mags. They don't apply to an Opel, but maybe would work for some import pickup?

Got my Grumpys Toy Vegas from Midel Roundup today.

I just ordered mine. Had trouble with the MR website, I was on there over half an hour to order two of those and a new '70 Camaro.

Not my favourite generation of Supra, but it wasn't much money for a well-detailed kit with an engine (which could go into something else?):

First set of MRC accessory wheels I've acquired:

I lost out on a bid on a set of Cragars, but I have some similar wheels to those and the Keystones were the ones I was particularly keen to get hold of. Might try some different tyres on them as the Firsetones look rather square.

Already got a project in mind for them.

I just got in two Vic's Resin kits from an online seller.

The '59 Pontiac wagon I bought to do Mickey Thompson's Challenger tow car is pretty awful. Slush-cast, poorly scribed NON-symmetrical door lines that aren't in the right places anyway, large holes in places, roofline just flat wrong, missing lower rocker panels, etc. etc. If I were grading this mess for a class, I'd give it an F. I don't mind excessive flash and thickness on resin as long as the shapes and proportions are right, and there are no gaping holes. But this thing is way less than what's just barely acceptable. It's going to take one hell of a lot of work to make a good model from it, and I don't understand how somebody can turn out trash like this and think it's decent.

s-l1600.jpg

The '56 Lincoln Premier I'd give a D. Again nasty slush-cast, but better than the Pontiac. At least all the edges got cast and there aren't any gaping holes...though there are plenty of pinholes. The roof-line is also completely wrong, and the top of the roof is wavy and lumpy. The roof and windows aren't symmetrical either, and it looks to have been chopped on one side but not the other. Again, it's going to take a helluva lot of work to make a good model...but it's not quite as bad as the Pontiac.

s-l1600.jpg

Both models exhibit a grainy surface finish, as though some stupid dark-ages mold-release like talcum powder or poorly-sprayed poly-vinyl-alcohol was used, and will make it all but impossible to get clean details like chrome trim.

For $125, I'm disappointed. Seriously disappointed. But I'll probably keep 'em, as I'm unaware of these subjects being available elsewhere.

Sorry to hear that. Not only that you are out that kind of money for those but I had thought about that Lincoln before. What a shame. Hope you can make something nice from them.

I'm sorry to hear that too Bill.

Maybe the ones I got were better because I bought them at a show or maybe because they were strait recasts of an existing kit with no modifications done.

But ,, yea, this will certainly discourage me from buying any on-line.

IF i see them in person at a show, well maybe if they're $25 like the other ones I bought, maybe. But Yes, definitely not worth what these E-bay guys are asking for them. ??

I agree, these would be VERY annoying and irksome points to someone who actually builds models. B)

This is one of those kits that I didn't know existed, but always thought the subject was cool, and eBay is a magnet for disposable income, and yes I have a slight hoarding sin.  Lamborghini Cheetah, it was a prototype, only one left in existence.  There were 3 for sale at the time, the top was $300!  The box bottom is damaged, instructions are missing, the price was dropped twice so I sprang for it, "saved" (look honey!) almost 72%.  It's a simple kit, could figure out 95% of the parts.  Motorized, which will be "fixed" with a Hellcat engine, need to figure out a transmission.  Nice Mickey Thompson - Baja Kino tires, 4 gas cans.  Will ditch the stupid tiger stripes, but has Cibie light covers.  The decals don't have the Lambo badge, but I have nice ones.  Winch needs a chain, and a hook, the Fireball resin winch has lots of hooks.  That's the plan (y'all know how this goes).

I finally got off my tail and ordered myself a Pace spray booth. Happy Birthday to me!  Can’t wait to receive it!

Bought one a couple of weeks ago when they had the Labor day sale. Can't wait to get it set up & start spraying!

I'd think they wouldn't be that much of an issue to quantity-over-quality builders though...
