I wish I could say the same for my pics. Joseph makes really nice stuff. I'm a big fan of his tires. Those Super swampers are really nice and the Mudkings are also.

I would say that his stuff is as good as it gets. His carbs are unbelievable! I've used his tire decals, as well. The carrier is undetectable. I completely agree with you, regarding his quality.

I would go so far as to say that it brings your model to a whole new level.

OK yes I've got another one!

It's about number 7 or 8! Just because they were built by Prodrive about 20 miles away.

The '62 B-A: I immersed it in Testors ELO overnite to remove the rattle can blue, and the 'bubbletop' posts crakced apart in three places!  Anyone ever had that happen?  It was old stuff, but... !

Oh no! :( Sorry you had to learn the hard way, James, but ELO makes plastic brittle if you leave it on too long - I always use it applied with a brush or a rag and wipe off the paint, then rinse it off right away. Usually I only use it to get stubborn paint off (especially black and red) after soaking in Super Clean. Hope you can find another body.

Is his stuff 3D printed or cast resin?

Love the Goat kit~ I converted one to represent my '65 Tempest Custom coupe; 326/3-speed, with redlines and chrome-rev rims... one of my college cars.  Hard putting chrome trim strips onto a GTO, and faking in a basic grille.  Ah, those were the days!?  Wick (the nickname I have always gone by (for Wickersham)!

PS/ guess I'm sadder but wiser; back to DOT 3 for soaking off paint!

Wick, just brush the ELO on the body/parts. Never soak them. The paint will start crinkling and loosen in about 10-15 minutes. Use a nylon brush to scrub the surface. Most, if not all, of the paint should come off. If any remains, reapply with a brush and repeat the procedure. Wash off the residue with dishwashing liquid and warm-hot water and the body will be completely stripped of paint.

I know he has some 3d printed stuff but some I believe it's a mixture of both. Tires are rubber and really nice as well.

MCM #213 arrived yesterday in pristine condition.

Mine did too, but it gave off a weird smell when I opened the baggie. Never smelled that before.

I kinda have a thing for the '50s cars that I remember being around when I was a kid. I've picked up several early AMT kits and rebuilders, and filled in some of the holes with diecasts, but there are still just a lot of cars that were never offered, or are way more expensive than what I'll pay.

I usually stay away from early promos, as the deterioration and shrinking of the acetate plastic they're made from is universally pretty bad by now. So I was surprised to come across this genuine AMT '57 Buick Roadmaster 2-door promo in pretty decent condition. The little car is shrunk and warped less than anything I've seen in years, has zero rust on the stamped metal chassis, looks to never been been played with, and the friction motor works just like new. It's a real time-capsule find

Yes, it's acetate, and it's going to keep on shrinking and warping, but if I pull molds from it SOON, at least I've got something to start with, and the bumpers, porthole inserts, and quarter cladding are made from a non-shrinking plastic.

Boy Bill between your models and your 1:1 cars you will have a very busy retirement.

That's the idea. All the stuff I love that I was too busy doing "important " stuff to get to earlier.

I've kinda redefined what "important" is though. Sure wish I'd known back then what I know now. (EDIT: I did, actually. I just wasn't paying attention to what I knew was true.)

But I have enough "dreams" to keep me going another hundred years. Long as I get to spend my remaining time working on them, even if it's not much time, that'll be OK. <_<

Scored this one recently. Complete exept for front steel axle i guess, nice box built but no glue or paint.

I will take some measurements of it but dont know what to do with it after.

The box is sweet so if some collector want the kit i can trade it. Send PM

Got my shipment from Model Roundup. With the resin jimmy Flintstone '66 Chevy van body. Had to get the Dodge fever A 100 to use as an undercarriage. You can also use the little red wagon but they jacked the price up on that one and my Ollie's didn't have them at $9.99. 4 Accel pre-wired distributor kits and some paints.

Did a run to the only hobby shop besides HL within 2 hrs of my house. Nicely stocked place! After an hour and a half of ogling over a lot of stuff I walked out with just this. Yes, my wife was waiting in the car so it kept me in control....
