I've seen that with the window frame before and I can only imagine that it's pretty frustrating to say the least. Hang with 'er Pat. She's lookin' good so far.

AMT '67 Mustang Fastback-Now in Under Glass Section

Every now and then people in business will take the time to listen to a consumer and make necessary changes. I spoke with Eric Oberhofer at Round 2 at the beginning of September in regards to the AMT 67 Mustang Fastback issues. One of the issues involved the tires that came in the kit which were Firestone Super Sports tires instead of the Firestone Wide O Oval tires that were on the box top. He had mentioned that he was going to bring this issue up in the next board meeting. Meanwhile I had received a set of Wide O Oval decals from a friend of mine on the forums. After removing the Super Sports logos from the sides of the tires and had applied those, however, they looked too big and I was left scratching my head at what I was going to do next. I decided to go down to Hobby Lobby and purchase another kit and use the Super Sports tires...........BUT............when I opened the box of the newly purchased kit I found..........a set of Wide O Oval tires now in the box!!!!!! A BIG shout out goes to Eric and the Round 2 team involved in making this change. Before the change this is what came in the box.... and this is now what comes in the box. Here mounted on my newly painted & detailed wheels. Just gotta spin the tires up on a socket in my drill to give that tire tread a worn look. -
Your wiring harnesses look "all that" Steven. Something I've incorporated into my own builds and it makes such a big difference under the hood. This car looks totally Bad "A" so far man.

I like these cars already and seeing one Pro Streeted is just over the top. Awesome work so far on this beautiful looking beast.

Thanks Mike. Yeah that sucks loosing stuff like that. I foiled the R/H side and applied Molotow on the cluster side. Then I shot a light coat of acrylic dull coat over both sides to make them look alike in regards to luster. Console is all BMF. Thanks Greg! I've heard good things about Createx and may try it at some point. For me this Stynlrez is the way to go. I've met some folks that say they would just flat NEVER use it again and then there's others like myself who love using the stuff. It just flows so dang good from the AB. -
Looks good aside from some minor alignment /fit issues between the interior tub and body but that'll be fairly easy to negotiate. That paint looks as smooth as silk Curtis.
-
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest of this build.
-
Yezzir....you can count me "IN" on watching the rest of this one come together.
-
Nice surgery and wheel swap out.
-
That's one smooth paint job dude. Thumbs up all the way here.
-
Looking forward to seeing that motor dropped in there.

Oh man......this is gonna be so fun to watch come together. -
Tom that car turned out masterfully!! The paint job alone is all that and then you throw in the details and the overall look. REALLY knocked this one out of the park. Been a while since I've talked atcha. Will be more adamant about getting in on your build threads buddy.

Thanks Mike!! Thank you Carl. I use Stynlrez Black for a base and then come back over it with a super thin coat of MM Semi Gloss Black to get the right vinyl effect. Stynlrez is something that most folks either absolutely love or hate. For me it goes on SUPER smooth and the results are well enough worth the only pitfall that the stuff has in my experience and that'll be the airbrush and paint cup clean up. Stuff is HELL to clean off but like I said.....the result that it gives is as near perfect as I've ever seen. I used Stynlrez gray for my 1/35 Ryefield Type 82 Volkswagen last year and weathered it lightly. The finish turned out great and the color was a very close match to the German Gray that was needed. I'm tellin' ya....this stuff lays down smooth as silk. -

Thanks Keith. It's not a bad kit, you just have to watch out for the a$$ low stance depending on what you want to do with it. It's pretty easy to correct if you plan it all out. Alright gang. Got the interior tub completed. Holes were drilled in the tops of the door panels at the rear of the doors where the door lock knobs while be installed later on near the end of the build. -
Oh HELL yeah!! I'm DEFINITELY in on this one!!!!
-
Love all the fabbing and imagination going into this build Dave. Awesome work pal.
