After looking at both the pink car shown here, and my Revell F&F car at home, I see that the built kit at the show has the mounting points but not the boxes. The Boxes are depicted on the F&F car by small plates glued over the front springs on the frame. The two small plates are in the kit. Not sure, but my guess is that they are on one of the F&F only parts trees in the F&F kit. So, they "MIGHT" be in the new stock kit, but only if Revell puts the tree they are on, in the stock kit. Somebody with an unbuilt F&F kit, might be able to confirm what tree has them, and what other parts are on that tree. Alan

Nice try, Tom, Bill, & Luc. Still "Notgonna" happen, says Me. The wall of silence surrounding what is rumored to have been one of Monograms, most legendary failures, is still unbroken. I canna predict if it will ever fall.

I suspect that the tooling for the Land Rover is long gone. Re-popping just 5000 of these as an SSP kit is a no-brainer. I don't see the streamlined, modern Revell leaving money of the table that way. There has been a low, but very definite request for this kit for 15-20 years. Nothing has happened. Nobody from Revell will ever give a straight up Yes/No answer on the tooling. That tells me that the tooling is gone and that Revell just does not want to take the heat on this. Not that I blame them. It may not be heat from a huge crowd, but the few of us who do care could pitch quite a fit. So buy them when you can find them. Enjoy them. But I'll predict that they are Gone Baby, Gone.

Gad! I have to wait until 2018 For the A/FX or B/FX Comets! I cannot wait for these kits! Please Can we get these coming sooner? I think the sales potential of these would reward putting them closer to the front of the line. That said there is a Long Bed Ford Truck in my future, so Moebius will be getting my money soon. Thanks for the Update, Dave. I really appreciate how you share this information with us, and all the guff you put up with from chowderheads like me.

So, is there a review of this kit out yet? Maybe Chris (HPI-Guy) will do one. I'm anxious to see what all made it into the kit.

And again, No Mercer Raceabout, to go with the ex-MPC Stutz Bearcat. I know that tooling up the Bearcat was a TV tie-in Fluke, but can we Please get a 1912-1913 Mercer? Both cars are available in 1/32 and 1/12 scale, but not in 1/25. If I'm gonna dream, might as well dream big.

Do both cars have the same driver figure?

It is a Great Kit, Chris. I think you'll like it. It has a very 1960's feel to it, but to me, that is part of its charm. The updated Decal Sheet that Round2 is sure to throw in will make it even better. I've taped mine together, but never built it. Now is the time to get more of them and build them. I look forward to your review of it.

Yeah, I'd be up for a couple more of those. Mine was in a box of models that were stolen from my van in my driveway about 3 years ago. They made off with about 15 kits and $50 bucks worth of Aftermarket Decals.12 1/48 scale planes and 3 cars. the R.R. was one of them.

I got One, Each of the '29 & '30 last year. Both have been opened. Those should hold me for some time. I'll be glad to see the kit back out on the shelves, though. That Small Block Chevy is a great engine, and I intend to buy another '30 someday, just for the 350. Can we get the Rat Roaster back please? Or was it a sales flop?

It's a brand new tool. (about 2014) As far as I know only been run once. You're right about the detail. I replaced the back cover on the blower. I'll leave the driver out of mine.

Now if Round2 would have just given us the Streetle Beatle Hood, the chrome looks like it is still on the Chrome tree. It could have been a 2'n'1 kit. Drat. I'll have to get one of each.

My Hobby Lobby was blowing out those DD Sleepers last year. I'll bet they had 8 of them for sale, and even at clearance prices, took a month or more to get rid of them. I'll hope they sell well, but I'm not a CabOver Builder so I won't need even the 75th anniversary kit.

I've heard rumors that the Bezels needed for the Boomerang Taillights did {NOT} make it into the new kit. Guess we won't know until somebody opens one. Looking at the Sprues as seen here, looks like not much was added to the chrome tree. I do see 8 new chrome pieces. 4 hubcaps and two sidepipes. The word from Round2 "41 parts restored or re-tooled" looks mighty thin to me, although the Hubcaps, sidepipes and 4 buckets are 12 parts by themselves.

Truly Sad News. Like others, I knew him only from the board. He was straight forward and never flagged in his enthusiasm for the Hobby. R.I.P. Harry.

I've seen the PYRO '52 Chevy in a diorama with a 1/32 Scale F-86 Sabre Jet. Painted in Strata Blue with USAF Staff Car markings. It looked great.
