  1. Really getting antsy for my hands on these kits. Any further updates to release?
  2. The vocabulary used to describe this build has me stumped. It is a phenomenal amount of detailed, painstaking work all rolled into a masterpiece of - shall I call it Jewelry. This piece of modeling is a pricelessly beautiful gem. Thank you for your outstanding work and for sharing the finish with us.
  3. All it needs is a beauty queen sitting on the convertible cover and a parade and it would be in its element. This is one beautiful land yacht, color really fits it well.
  4. Not really a good place for someone with claustrophobia. Enjoying watching this dual build come together. That old truck and the Flattie powered tanker are where Bonneville came from. Looking forward to updates.
  5. Got my attention with "Gasser", my favorite all-time drag class. I like what you have done so far, looking forward to updates.
  6. I really dislike beating a dead horse, but there has been no "real NASCAR" since the mid to late 90's. At least the bodies represented T-Birds, Luminas/Monte Carlos, Pontiacs, and the like. Anyway, whichever way they decide to go I doubt will change my opinion of the series and make me watch it.
  7. I was sort of taken aback by how well that 'smaller' scale engine filled the engine compartment. But then I remembered those 40 trucks were not very large to begin with.
  8. Very nice work. Your additions and changes make it look more like a race car than an AMT toy.
  9. Oh yeah, that is starting to look like a custom truck. Very nice work. I have several 'net photos of vehicles that I want to build, glad to see you have accomplished yours.
  10. The F-150 photo was made shortly after I bought it in 2022, the Pinto pictures were just a couple of months ago when I finally got it back from the body shop.
  11. Finally have this one on the road. I have had it almost a year and it has been in and out of shops, most of the time was spent in a body shop. I think I may have been expecting a bit too much in the power department, especially when compared to my 5.0 F-150.
  12. Beautiful build, very neat concept. Just wondering how you would keep from igniting a trailer when you hit full afterburner.
  13. Interesting build, I like the "rough" finished look. The pickup is 1/24 scale, where did you source a 1/24 Y block?
  14. Very impressive build considering your implied simplicity. That paint looks smooth. Now if it was just Ford powered.
  15. Beautiful Jaguar. I don't know why, but every time I see a Jag I hear Jan & Dean's "Deadman's Curve" running through my head.
  16. And no rollovers or end-over-end flips. Single vehicle head-ons are pretty violent, but not as much as a 180 mph multi-rollover, and almost all of the super speedway races will have at least one. Nor do they come close to a super high-speed T-Bone. It is all well and good when those massive batteries are under you, the lower center-of-gravity should help handling, however if you are rolling over and another car is bearing down on you spinning out of control, I believe I would prefer an ICE.
  17. One topic that has not been discussed with EV NASCAR is what happens during the "Big One" at Daytona or Talladega. What will be the carnage when three or more of these cars collide at 190+ mph, does a couple of end-over-end flips, or maybe five or six barrel rolls? Not sure how these toxic battery packs would react to such violence.
  18. Just like the others said, this is a beautiful build and your weathering is excellent. Really like it.
  19. Really enjoyed looking at these builds and your history of each of them. I've never been much of a bike fan, but these may change my mind. I know my local Wal-Mart has two or three of them still in stock, may have to splurge and buy them.
  20. Definitely some sweet builds. That '55 is killer, very nice work. I was a Glidden fan because he drove a Ford.
  21. Going to watch this build. I have the 2-n-1 checkerboard version of the Phaeton and am needing some inspiration and will garner some ideas from your build.
  22. Another excellent build. Your attention to detail and authenticity are without measure. Thoroughly enjoy looking at your builds.
  23. I have found carefully sticking a common straight pin into the insulation will usually open it enough to allow the wire to go in and most often the insulation will reduce itself to original size rather quickly. Looking forward to more updates. You are doing some excellent work on this Willys.
  24. Not sure how I missed this one. The Wood brothers have been my all-time favorite racing team since I saw Glenn Wood drive a modified at Bowman Gray Stadium back in the early 60's. You have built an excellent rendition of one of their finest machines. The end of the full-size cars and the beginning of the mid-size is the most exciting time in NASCAR. Really enjoy this build, some mighty fine work.
  25. The AMT NASCAR kits are usually available at shows/swapmeets. A couple of years ago you could get them as cheap as $3-5, however, the last show I attended most of the vendors had upped their price to $8-15. I guess supply and demand is starting to take over. I lucked out and bought a zip-lock bag with three chassis kits and most of the supplemental pieces for $5. There is a large flea market close to my home. I went over there one weekend just to see what might be available. One of the permanent vendors had three opened kits and was asking $30 each. When I asked him about the price he became quite huffy and "explained" how they were original kits and quite rare. I just chuckled and walked away.
