  1. Beautiful pair of funny cars. Some really nice work. Also like your display diorama.
  2. Something to keep in mind, if you by chance enjoy short track builds, is to keep that Vega rear body section. That body, a representation of a Tri-Five Chevy frame, BBC, and some wide tires and you have an early 80's short track modified( i.e. the AMT Rat Trap Vega). Really enjoying watching this build come together, your work is very impressive as is your vision of a finished project.
  3. Really taking shape nicely, very nice details on the engine. The electronic gizmo you used for a fuel filter is a diode, I bought a bagful of them from Radio Shack many years ago just for that purpose. You can also get a bit larger size, glue two of them together side-by-side, paint them aluminum and they make a very convincing period electric fuel pump. Keep those updates coming.
  4. You have a pretty good start on what looks like a decent period street rod. Should fit right in with the RoG. Bring on the updates.
  5. Long-time hardcore Sox & Martin fan. This is an outstanding rendition of the hauler, beautiful build all the way around. Roadrunner looks good also.
  6. And what project does not snowball quickly. Don't think I have built a simple project since getting back into the hobby 30 some years ago. As far as the hood scoop, I believe you will be more pleased with the overall project if you strip the scoop completely before attaching it to the hood. I have had issues with paint not allowing my putty sticking properly.
  7. PM sent
  8. Really enjoyed watching this build come together, and the Towd is a crowning touch. Excellent work converting a "toy" into a believable representation of a motorhome.
  9. Something else about this chart that I found interesting was a large percentage of the states preferred the Ford F-series as most popular vehicle.
  10. I do miss the full color palette of the 50's and 60's. However there are still a few bright colors and fun to drive vehicles on the road. Took a while to get used to the red, but now I really love it, and it is fun to drive - except past gas stations.
  11. These are excellent kits, some of Lindberg's finest work. You have really brought this one to a superb finish. Smooth paint and that interior is beautiful. This kit has one of the better Flatheads in kit form .
  12. That is some excellent paint work and masking skills. Looking forward to more.
  13. Seems as if the Monogram is it, the chrome trees are exactly like the ones I have; only missing a couple of small pieces off the larger one. Thanks for the clarification.
  14. Which C2 Corvette kit was molded in red? I have just found a chrome parts tree with a set of Vector rims with spinners and they are molded in red. The tree also has a nice set of valve covers and the air cleaner with distributor cover.
  15. Reminds me of when I was stationed in Oklahoma in 1988. A friend's wife went out one especially, brutally cold morning just to find her windshield had a thin sheet of ice on it. Rather than crank the car and let the defroster do its stuff, she went back inside and got a small ball-peen hammer. Do I need to continue the story?
  16. Really nice looking Gasser. Just goes to show that box-art and instructions are simply suggestions. It definitely is a "cherry" bomb.
  17. Really nice rendition of an S&M Duster, especially for a 30 year old build. Wish I had kept my 30 year olds builds.
  18. Sometimes the decal sheets will recommend colors. My Slixx sheet for Hubert Platt's '69 Mustang gives recommendations for color, but doesn't specify any particular brand paint or paint number. I have had other sheets that will specify a ModelMaster/Tamiya or some other color by number. Hope this helps a little bit.
  19. I am about 30 miles west of Winston-Salem. A post office called Hamptonville, in the intersection of US 421 and I-77.
  20. If you weren't I would wonder what kind of Dad you would be. Looks to be an interesting build. I saw a terrarium diorama at a show a few years back with 1/25 scale vehicles in it, pretty intricate work.
  21. Not sure if you want to gloss coat it, most school buses are a bit semi-gloss. What are you building for this color paint?
  22. That is a hood full of motivation. Like the way this one came out, sometimes its best just to let them ride the way they are.
  23. And a few more: The pieces in the last photo are a 2X4 SOHC and Econoline buckets from Texas3Dcustoms and a teardrop scoop to build the '64 into a B/FX; I have a set of 9.50 pie-crust slicks to complete the package. It will also have working head and taillights.
