  1. Whimper, whimper, snivel, snivel, I give up. Watching a piece of art come together such as this makes me want to give up modeling. Sir, your work is right on the verge of excellence and your vision is impeccable. Looking forward to more updates.
  2. Just completed a great trade with Blacksheep214. Communication was great and packaging was outstanding. Will trade with him again if opportunity arises.
  3. Kind of late getting into this thread. My first ever model kit was the Trophy Series '40 Ford Coupe. Got it for Christmas in 1959 and it was molded in black. I am going to presume that was probably an original issue. Also remember the '32 Vicky and the '32 Roadster were also molded in black. My first issue of the '29 Roadster was in white (around '63-64) but I have since found light blue and tan ones. Last year '2019' I won one of the flat box kits at a show raffle, it has the molded in orange sticker and the parts picture on the bottom shows the sedan delivery rear door. The kit is still sealed so I cannot verify the accuracy of the parts. It comes with mag wheels rather than the good original issue stuff.
  4. Very nice build, love those belly tankers. Sure wish some company (Round 2, Revell are you listening) would kit one of these.
  5. Never been much of a Ferrari fan, but I like the salvage work you have done with this one. Very clean repairs and a really nice looking build.
  6. Very fine looking build. Love those old full size racers. Looks like this one has been "nudged" out of the way a couple of times. As far as frame reinforcement I cannot add anything official or constructive, other than I would be concerned about those down-bars punching through the floor in a violent rollover.
  7. I am truly surprised. I saw one in Pusan, South Korea back in 2005. Not being facetious, sort of figured they were everywhere.
  8. I remember those, but my computer with that list of favorites crashed and I have lost all my good contacts. Would also appreciate a link.
  9. Beautiful C10. Just a few subtle changes from box-stock, but enough to make it eye-appealing. Very nice job.
  10. Going to look like something GM will be slapping their foreheads and saying, "Why didn't we think of that." Looking forward to updates. Really like the way you are massaging the panels to line up.
  11. Is that Woodstock hanging upside down on the right just at the bottom of the sunset? With a little imagination is sure looks like him.
  12. Here a few of mine: The AMT Willys gasser has a fuel-injected SBC {there is a "Big Nasty" that has been in the planning stage for several years}; the hot rod is a Willys cab on a 34 chassis with Flathead power, LaSalle custom grille, AMT Lincoln wheels/tires, and scratchbuilt bed; the 34 has a 2X2 Mercury Flathead, rotted out wood bed, and 40 Ford wheels/tires; the last one is a MAGNUMSRT8RPU, began as an SRT8 Magnum, but I thought it would make a nice roadster pick-up, still in work. BTW: Repstock, those are some beautiful trucks, especially the red Ford, you do some excellent work.
  13. Very nice build. Also like the photography angles you used, adds quite a bit of realism to the photos.
  14. When backing up my F-150 with camper shell I still primarily use my side mirrors, just guess I am spoiled from years of backing a school bus into its parking spot. The real benefit of the rear-view camera comes when I am trying to connect my utility trailer to the F-150, I can get to within a couple of inches using that camera. Sure beats backing a few inches , getting out an looking, backing a few inches getting out and looking, then realizing I have backed too far, have scratched my bumper or put a small ding into that expensive aluminum tailgate.
  15. That is some tedious and excellent detail work; very nicely done. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
  16. Very nice work, as the other have commented your weathering is exactly right.
  17. Excellent rendition of one of the most beautiful car designs ever. Your attention to detail is above reproach. Thanks for sharing it.
  18. Definitely one beautiful fat-fender Ford. Just a couple subtle custom touches and they do not detract from the beautiful lines. Very nice paint color also.
  19. Some amazing builds. Love to watch your work.
  20. Getting in may not be too difficult, but crawling out again after a couple hundred laps could prove interesting, got a feeling those pipes would be toasty. Plus with the exhaust right outside the window, how is he going to talk with his crew-chief? And with caution laps the carbon monoxide would be pouring in through the windows. Laughable box art at best.
  21. One thing that works for me is finger nail polish remover, the good strong stuff not the PC kind. However I would not use it on a model, think it would probably cause some non-reparable issues
  22. They are horrible on a street car but they look pretty nice on a slower class dirt-track racer. A little bit of sanding to remove some of the flash and give them a worn look.
  23. Oh my yes that is one wicked S-10. Some mighty fine detail work, really enjoy looking at it and finding more I missed the first time.
  24. I was in Michael's about a year ago and found a kit, which is amazing in itself. Anyway when I checked out I showed them my coupon on the telephone and got 40% off. I happened to be wearing my retired USAF hat and the cashier asked if I was a veteran. When I answered yes, she gave me another 10% off, so I walked out with a kit at a pretty reasonable price. However I was back in there a few months later and the cashier would only give me either/or not both.
