  1. Just wondering what he and Billacheat will come up with to replace the Brady goddess.
  2. Good looking beginning. Gives you something to do while the Seachickens are setting on their duffs making millions. A thought on the instrument decals - make your own. Find some you like, that will fit, in a magazine, on the web, or maybe a catalog. Scan them into your computer, adjust to correct size, then print on decal paper. Yeah, I gave up on the Kitties after they fired 'Riverboat' mid-season.
  3. The difference between a "Fairy Tale" and a "War Story". The Fairy Tale begins, "Once upon a time", the War Story begins, "No BLAH BLAH BLAH this really happened."
  4. Standing on the front porch yesterday talking with friends and a red 68 Impala drop-top drove by. A couple out enjoying the breeze in their face.
  5. My beautiful wife of 38 years passed yesterday morning at 11:00 a.m.. Thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers.
  6. Very sweet Henry J. Really like all the work you did with it.
  7. Cool little Sportsman, ver clean build. Which AMT kit did you use? I have heard some discouraging war stories about the generic one.
  8. The inevitable has come about. Had to place my wife in hospice this evening. The cancer had progressed much quicker than we had thought, Doctor is giving several days to a few weeks. Need prayers, thanks.
  9. Not sure, but I think decals would have a difficult time sticking to a waxed body.
  10. Going to be one fine truck. One source for those tires and the 6-lug wheels is http://www.fireballmodels.info/ Very easy to work with.
  11. On the way back from the hospital this evening I met a white '66 Impala convertible, with top down of course. Looked to be bone stock, really sweet for a Bowtie.
  12. Used sewing thread in the early/mid 60's, it was all the rage then. Of course it had to be pulled through candle wax or preferably beeswax to "lay the fuzzies down" and to give it some body. Those wires looked very convincing 50+ years ago. Now I primarily use Radio Shack strapping wire or some other wires I have collected over the years.
  13. As Grandma used to say, "That is finer than hen's teeth" or "frog hair" depending upon her disposition. Really like the overall look and your weathering skills are exceptional. Very well done.
  14. You are one lucky dude to get your hands on one this clean. My thoughts would be to go street with it, but only mildly. A nice set of tires, nothing larger than 18's; just a slight drop, nothing radical, and some form of signage on the door to help break up the gray. Keep those updates coming.
  15. This is going to be one really cool rod. Like the overall look, but IMHO that engine sort of overwhelms the build. However, it is your build and it must satisfy you. Looking forward to more updates. Also like the work on the rear axle assembly.
  16. The only issue I see with this process is what will the direct sunlight and its associated heat do to a piece of styrene, i.e. a grille with Bondic clear headlight lenses?
  17. Let me guess, you are right-handed. ☺️
  18. Beautiful work on this, there are so many fine details to catch the eye. Really like the subtle depictions of surface rust and that seat cover is gorgeous. Are those dents on the upper right rear corner of the body, or is that a reflection? Just wondering the need for two shift levers.
  19. Might cool little rod. Just hope who ever rides with you has some good deodorant, that is a really confined cockpit.
  20. Just wondering if there has been a resurgence of love for the last year T-Birds? I have seen three out on the interstate and one in town over the past week - a black, one, red one, and turquoise one.
  21. Not really familiar with this engine. What are the three pipes coming out of the blower plenum for? Maybe it's for nitrous injection..tee hee hee.
  22. Very nice little diorama, really represents the picture well.
  23. That is one beautiful Corvette. As the others have mentioned the color really fits it well; the overall build is really clean.
  24. Definitely enjoying watching this build. I have one in my stash I am wanting to turn into a race car hauler. And yes, you do have the right idea on the shade difference in paint. It is quite noticeable under the window in the white area of this build, and if you look really closely you can also see a color shift in the gold area right in line with the bottom of the tire rack.
  25. Going into town yesterday, pulled onto the interstate behind this, not sure what was lurking under the canvas. Had a nice set of smoke-gray mags.
