  1. Some really nice modeling. Really enjoy the ingenuity of those early racers to find ways to lose weight.
  2. Other than being a MOPAR this is a beautiful build. Looks like it just rolled out of SS&DI magazine. Maybe it is just the perspective of the photos, but that front fender looks awfully long in front of the tire. I know many of these cars had their front and rear ends slid forward, but there is just something about this front fender that gets my attention. Nothing against the build because I really like it - SS, MP, and GS were my all time favorite classes in the 60's.
  3. Excellent body damage. These machines did not stay pristine very long. Looking forward to more updates.
  4. Could you show us a picture of the problem you are having?
  5. I received a 1/32 Ford engine in a trade, unfortunately I do not know which kit it came from. But for such a small scale it is fairly detailed.
  6. Love those big luxury T-Birds and this one really looks the part. Very nice and clean execution.
  7. Looking forward to this build. One word of advice these truck are not built on the F-150 chassis. A few are F-350 but most are on the F-450 1 1/2 ton chassis or even heavier. I have a similar idea using an older Dodge van as a basis.
  8. My only suggestion would be to contact Shapeways or a similar company to see if they could print you one. Be ready to take out a second mortgage on the house.
  9. I really like the warning label on the front of the box. Not one of my favorite forms of Ramen, prefer the real stuff from my "not so local" international market.
  10. Mighty fine looking Mustang. Very clean impressive build.
  11. Oh yeah, crank 'em up and let those bosses rumble. Always liked Super Stock and Modified Production drag racing. You have done an excellent job on these two machines.
  12. Very nice Mustang, clean build. I like it.
  13. Definitely going to be different. A suggestion on the taillights, keep the indented panel, sand the taillight opening so they will be flat and blended into the panel.
  14. A couple come to mind. The first was "Motor-Psycho", loosely a "Hell's Angel" type movie. Filmed in B&W, opening scene was sound of a group of unmuffled Harleys, cameras focused on the bearded, do-rag head, no helmet, style riders. When the camera's panned out they were all riding Honda dirt-bikes. Plot line was obvious from the next scene; a well-endowed young woman working in her yard and the bikers came rumbling by. Anyway it was a good laugh. The other one was "Barry Lyndon" a three hour bore placed in 1800's England (I think). Never could figure out what the story line was; when the hour an half intermission came I convinced my girl friend it was time to find something more entertaining to do.
  15. Excellent work on an obscure subject. Very realistic look to the figures. I like it.
  16. That is some interesting body work. You seem to have a good eye for proportions and your finished bodywork is exceptional. I've seen too many customs where the extensions look flat, but this one is very well done. Wondering about the chassis, how are you going to lengthen it?
  17. Interesting about the "scrap pile" along the Great Smoky Mountains RR. I had planned on taking that excursion last month, I figured the fall leaves in that area would be at prime color. Unfortunately I broke my ankle on Saturday before my planned trip on Monday. Maybe I can go in the spring when everything is coming back to life.
  18. Had my house renovated a few years back. Specified the fixtures I wanted by brand. Couple of years ago kitchen sink began dripping. Took out cartridge went to Lowes, Home Depot and the local hardware store that has everything (if you can find it). No luck on finding a replacement cartridge. Went to company website, found the faucet in question and called to order a cartridge. They told me that particular model did not have a cartridge, I argued a bit with them because I was holding the cartridge in my hand. Anyway, wife decided she wanted a different design, so I purchased name brand one at Lowes. When I removed the old one I could not find any brand name anywhere on the unit. Repeated the same process in bathrooms. The contractor, whom I knew for years, allowed his son to run my project, it seems he does not have the same affection for the job his dad does. Needless to say I will not be recommending them to do any work.
  19. Very nice, now let's see it covered in mud with some rock dings.
  20. Have been using acrylic filler since a friend showed me his results. One thing I have learned is this filler does not appreciate a dehydrator, makes the filler bubble up.
  21. If you are looking for the quick release style from earlier NASCAR, quite often the clicker end of an ink pen will work. Just take of a slice of the pen barrel and the clicker section. A small circle of styrene on the bottom end will usually do the trick. I am unable to get to my model area right now (broken ankle keeps me out of the basement) or I would try to take some pictures to better illustrate.
  22. That is some excellent work, especially in such a small scale. Looking forward to updates.
  23. When I first looked at it I could tell something did not look right, but could not figure out what it was. Thought maybe it had been chopped or possibly sectioned. That beauty gets your attention, I would still be scratching my head if you hadn't told us. Very fine bit of modeling.
  24. Couple of really tough looking bull ring contenders. Excellent work on both of them.
  25. It would take some work, but that ne could be salvaged. I would like to see more of the one setting next to it.
