  1. Have this one on the bench occasionally, trying to get it together. Can't seem to find rear inner wheel wells to suit me. It is a Magnum SRT8RPU.
  2. Thanks a lot, now I have to buy a new keyboard to replace the one I drooled all over. Excellent collection of FOMOCO magic.
  3. Ok, I think the vote is pretty unanimous for the trash heap. So let's try this one on for size; it began as a Dodge Challenger.
  4. Just over the past couple of days I have noticed it seems to take forever for pictures to load, I am talking 30-45 seconds for one picture to load. Is this part of the update, or do I need to have a discussion with my internet provider?
  5. Got to go buy a lottery ticket. Always preferred Datsun/Nissan over the other brands.
  6. Really nice looking '57. Looks like almost every high school parking lot in the 60's. That color and your paint work really makes it shine.
  7. Ran across this while scanning the web this morning. Wonder what this general body of enthusiasts think about it. Not sure if it is real or a pretty good photoshop. Base car is a Toyota Supra MkIV with a Charger nose grafted on it. The mechanics look like they would work fairly well, although I believe the Charger nosepiece would need to be narrowed. However the aesthetics of such a build kind of leave me wondering what the designer was thinking.
  8. That is one beautiful Mustang, but then 99% of all Mustangs are beautiful. The paint and decal work is phenomenal.
  9. Fine looking sedan delivery Sam. I have this body in my stash. Couple of questions, did you use the Ranchero chassis and did it give you any problems?
  10. Something that irks me, and may have been mentioned before, is when someone posts a well-detailed build or one with interesting parts. Then a member asks about something on that build, i.e. where did you get those wheels, or which muffler oil did you use and the original builder does not have the courtesy to answer the question. May be a minor issue but it does irk me.
  11. Totally wicked Anglia gasser. You have done some mighty fine scratch work on this one.
  12. Glad someone brought this one back up. It is an excellent tutorial and something this 72 year old modeler may have to try. That aluminum "jig" looks familiar, what is it from?
  13. I may be mistaken, but I believe some of the older wrap would over the years continue to shrink just a bit causing the box to become misshapen. Of course I also remember when AMT/SMP simply had a small piece of tape over each end of the box, or in '61/62 they wrapped the box cover around the box top 1/4 inch to seal the box closed.
  14. Possible the owner wanted a less obvious deer stand.
  15. Don't see this kit very often. Really like the direction you took with it. Very nice build all the way around.
  16. Another option is to put the tires in a zip lock bag with some baking soda then vigorously shake the bag. This will often tone down the sheen.
  17. Sweet oval tracker. I am a fan of the older style recognizable body styles, but these are just wicked looking. You have done an excellent job. Would like more details on this build. Is the body scratchbuilt or vacuum-formed? What chassis did you build from? The world (or at least I do) wants to know. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
  18. I still have this one, it is in pretty good shape, needs a couple of pieces replaced and a new set of decals. I would like to see Round2 rerelease some of these older 1/32 kits. I have a body from a '57 Chevy and a 65 Pontiac, almost all of the chrome pieces are missing. Also have an original '63 Vette, used wrong paint and it crazed, may be able to salvage it at some future date.
  19. Very nice build, looks like a whole lot of chrome foil - almost as much as a mid-60's Cadillac. I have a couple of started kits in my stash that have been there for 20 or more years, so I can feel your pain.
  20. Going to be a cool build any way you go with it. When I first saw it my initial thought was a Woodstock hippie van - guess you had to live through that era.
  21. Yep, that's about the way it is.
  22. For radiusing wheelwells I use a small sanding drum on my Dremel, for other straight lines I use my t(rusty) razor saw.
  23. Modelhaus is another good option https://www.modelhaustires.com/ .
  24. Beautiful little S-10, very nice detail work.
  25. Your post said the drivers side does not fir, from that I presume the passenger side is alright. That suggests to me the pins that hold the rear of the bucket in place are misaligned. Therefore, I would suggest you modify the holes that fit over those pins or you may have to remove those tabs altogether. If the tub is still a bit sloppy then follow the above suggestions by using thin strips of plastic along the edges of the interior bucket.
