Say your two tone was black and white. Spray the black first, then you have to do some covering with the white. Can be a challenge. Much easier to shoot the white, then cover with the black.

Non auto related.iamsuperdan replied to Scott Colmer's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge The new deck was a big project, and definitely a new thing for me. I am no carpenter or woodworker. On any other wood project, my dad was always the lead, as he actually had skills and training as a carpenter. But with dad no longer here, I had to take this on myself. It turned out well, but you'll notice it is very simple, with basic joins and no fancy corners or anything. The only other thing I build was my workbench in the garage. Pretty simple design, and it hasn't collapsed yet, so that's good. Wifey wants be to build some raised planters in the yard, so I'll be tackling that...as soon as we get a weekend where it isn't pouring with rain. This past weekend was the third rainy weekend in a row. I have a couple of guitars on the bench that I'm finishing up. Paint is done, working on the neck now, putting in the inlays and side markers.

Well, on the weekend I got my new deck finished. We build the original 15 years ago when we built the house. So it was time for a new one. Wifey wanted a pergola and privacy screens on the one side. Usually, my dad was the wood expert, so he would be in charge of all wood-related projects. But now that dad is gone, this is the first wood project I tackled myself. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. And it hasn't fallen down yet, so that's a plus. Now we need to go get some new deck furniture. Tables, chairs, etc. Plus some lighting, plus some bluetooth outdoor speakers.

Just noticed over the weekend that he appears in the new show Space Force. He plays Steve Carrell's character's dad. He's pretty funny in it.

Shows cars are definitely not built with the same concessions to practicality that we expect on our real cars. A friend of mine has build up a mid-60s GTO. Complete custom, frame up, nothing left stock. If one of the rear tires gets a flat, it has to go on a flat deck back to the shop, and be disassembled. Suspension and exhaust needs to come out. The rear wheels are so wide, and the car sits so low, that the only way to make everything was to run the exaust under the suspension. It looks awesome, but is kind of ridiculous.

A priest, a rabbit, and a duck walk into a bar. Bartender says, "What'll it be?" The rabbit says, "Nothing for me, I'm only here because of auto-correct."

I'm confused too, and I was part of the discussions to make the changes! lolz We'll get used to it. Ultimately, I think it's organized better now.

I love the old panel vans. And the newer ones for that matter. A friend of mine is nearing completion on his 1:1 van, in an almost identical colour scheme.

I have a few I would LOVE to post, but too many here are far too sensitive. I see making a Jehovah joke doesn't draw any complaints though. Interesting. Maybe I should post the Christian ones I have, and watch the "reported thread" button go on meltdown. ?

I used to subscribe to a lot of magazines. And many have gone belly up over the past few years. People just go straight to websites now or blogs for instant reading. Seems like the number of people willing to wait for a monthly to come out is shrinking. I still subscribe to a few though: Practical Classics Grassroots Motorsports Tread Outdoor X4 Guitar World Classic Rock Metal Mania Kerrang! (although this one has temporarily halted print copies until July)

Ahh the akinator. My kids showed me this a few years ago. Took me a while, but I did finally stump it. Wish I could remember who I stumped it with. And whenever I heard the name Akinator, I think of Doofenshmirtz from Phineas & Ferb, and all of his "inators."

Totally agree! But the parachute should only be removed when safe to do so.

Excellent work! And it looks like you nailed the two tone alloy wheel. Those center caps never matched the spokes. Most builds I've seen have them all in one colour.

Awesome build as always! Love the showroom diorama!
