  1. Respect for saving those old bombs from the scrapyard! looking forward to seeing the buggy in a wild flake ?
  2. Cheers! I got a bit more masking and paint on today. I'm hoping the green, silver and the fade will go as I imagine, under the green candy. I'll do that tomorrow night after work. oh, I also found some bullet tail lights that I'll make some chrome bezels for. They give it a more 'Jetsons' look.
  3. Added some more lines and gave the panels and roof, some silver flake
  4. Yes Tom, it is. I've got some 17" BBS wheels on order from Japan. As they're 1/24, they should lower the ride height a bit, without looking like go-kart wheels. I tried 14 & 15", but they looked a tad small:
  5. Shot some black over the tape lines, then faded-in some black/gold flake nail polish. some parts will be finished with candy green on top. The roof will be silver flake with some candy green lines (haven't decided the exact design yet)
  6. Just finished the little 250cc engine:
  7. This Revell kit is nice quality. The parts required minimal cleanup and virtually snap together. I'm giving this a custom paint job, tinted glass and a wheel swap. Silver base first, then some tape lines:
  8. Top quality build. Great colour combo and lovely paint.
  9. Very nicely done! Clean, crisp and beautifully finished. Looks 1:1
  10. Thanks for looking here's link to the build and paint:
  11. Thank you all, for your generous comments! when I first got into the hobby, about 11 years ago, I was inspired by model cars in magazines and online. Among, others there was a guy called Gary Seeds, who was knocking out some great paint jobs on his cars. It was my goal to one day, get my paint down like that. I've still got a lot to learn, but it's the quality of builds I see on this forum, that makes me keep pushing my abilities. thanks again for the nice comments. You guys are the only people in the world who get to see what I've been making. cheers
  12. Thanks guys! I've been experimenting with backgrounds, too. I've seen some posts with awesome background scenes and a lot of you are lucky to see the sun more than me, which makes for some very realistic photos. anyway, here's a couple of urban scenes
  13. Nice builds! That Datsun has a lovely shine and the VW interior is spot on.
  14. I like it! It has class and menace in equal amounts ??
  15. An experiment with tape and nail polish. I plan to do more. It was great fun to play with colour and patterns. Parts box wheels, shod with Modelhaus tyres. I hope you like it
  16. Worth every minute you spent on it. Gorgeous from every angle. and that paint!! The shine is a mile deep! Top notch work ( as always!). This is the kind of quality most of us aspire to, but seldom achieve.
  17. Well worth the effort! I bet you're chuffed with it. Looks very realistic and the decal work paid off.
  18. Ditto all of the above! By far, the best build of this kit that I've ever seen. Lovely detail and finish. I too, now want to build one!
  19. Very tidy work. The photo with the F&F Evo made me chuckle! I've never built a Testors kit. Judging by yours, they look pretty good.

Razor sharp build! Very crisp and clean. Flawless paint and a tasty engine. Top of my wish list, for sure. Thanks for sharing it with us ?
  21. Ouch! My eyes are watering from the intense gleam!! beautiful work. And I love these Rivieras, too. Such nice lines on the body...
  22. Blimey Paul!! Are you serious? This is amazing! How many builds do you manage per year? And they're all so good. Not OOB, but modified, too. Stunning work. You are definitely in the 'elite' category.
  23. Looks like it was worth the higher price. You did a great job on it. Super clean work. Looks 1:1
  24. I agree. This is a quality build, and a model rarely seen in these pages. You did a knockout job on this. Really nice
