  1. Love the subject. Following.
  2. Very very nice racer.
  3. I was fortunate to obtain most of my stash in the mid 2000's when shipping was reasonable. I remember getting a whole box of wheels and tires for under $15 including shipping. I still snag some things from ebay once in a while. I haven't sold anything for years as the TIME it takes for posting, monitoring and shipping isn't worth the little cash you get back. I would much rather trade with a fellow modeler though shipping cost almost make it not worthwhile. I have sold off a few kits on scalemates as the buyers were willing to trust me by sending payment first and my prices are reasonable. The best way to fast search ebay is picclick. https://picclick.com/
  4. I found Taig's dealer in Oregon from their website. I just filled out a pre-order questionnaire to get a quote for one that will meet my needs. I have been hankering for a mini lathe for some time. I am just too wary of the under powered Chinese ones to spend $300 and up.
  5. SWEET!!!
  6. Very nice builds. I have just enough TS-54 left to do my TA.
  7. Very nice. Following.
  8. Well done and excellent presentation.
  9. Nice fab work. The chopped top really helped the ramp slope.
  10. I am am in the same camp. I have been pretty good about only actually buying kits I truly WANT to build. I avoid buying duplicates but some times buy similar kits if it has different parts for a different version.

    71 GTX

Your GTX is way cool. Some day I will build one to look like this one.
  12. I would be up for that. I have an extendable flat bed and a stretched race car hauler on my short list.
  13. Excellent work. I like the colored wheels with the silver rings.
  14. I want what I want, I can finally afford it, why the heck not? I am 59 and still working. I call them my retirement presents.
  15. That is not how these were made. It is inkjet printed water slide decal PAPER applied to sheet aluminum then cut and filed.
  16. Thanks David. I used it for this project too.
  17. Carl, the green was pretty, just applied incorrectly. It is gone now. Chassis surgery was pretty easy. Trimming the interior panels for the mini tubs was time consuming.
  18. Well, after assembling the 427 I learned that it does not fit between the shock towers. I imagine they had the same problem in the real world. I guess I'll be hacking a painted body.
  19. Bob, You are welcome to follow along.
  20. That is one well done racer.
  21. High quality result. Especially the chrome trim.
  22. Good score Sam. Are you going to cap it to keep the dust out?
  23. Steve, If I could build models with the quality that you do, I could sympathize with your frustration. Since I do not, I have different attitude towards shows. I have been to maybe 10 in my whole life, so they are still a treat. I bring some of my builds without any expectation of winning. I am more interested in seeing other peoples builds and ideas and maybe getting the occasional chance to share the details of one of mine with someone. To me that is enough satisfaction to keep on attending. (That and getting some good deals on more kits). While your builds may not have won any trophies at the show, I sure do appreciate you sharing them here. You are an inspiration to me.
  24. Sir, You NAILED IT! The load crates are spot on! Most impressive. You definitely took a vision and made it a reality.
