Are there any wheels out there like this?
Bills72sj replied to 2zwudz's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Ok, I just noticed this is a Beaumont Canadian. Was this a kit or did someone do some awesome creativity? Is there a link to this build in progress and/or finished? -
It has been slow going adding parts to the cab. Yesterday I tackled another scratch built headache rack. Some hex sprue and a Coke truck side panel provided the materials. I had to fabricate a miniature miter box to make the 22.5 degree cuts needed for the frame. I just bought some Evergreen I beam from my LHS so after this post I will make the base. Check out the pics. And thanks to Trebor MFG for pdfs of their products WITH DIMENSIONS!

Wheels and stance give it great attitude.

Keep up the good work. Your show and tell of this build will definitely improve mine when I get to it. Thanks for all the tips.

Nice wheels, Nice stance, Nice GTO. -
Well done. Purchase to display shelf in less than 24 hours has its merits.

Very nice result. I like builds like this where you have a unique vision and carry it all the way to fruition. Great job. -

I hear you Steve. When I crunched the front of my GP. The bumper cost a fortune. The used fiberglass header panel needed a bit of work and I consider myself very lucky to be able to purchase new aftermarket turn signal lenses. Ames only had ONE of one side and Year One only had ONE of the other side. The grille will NEVER be reproduced and cannot be made from scratch like body sheetmetal can. That is why I have a small stash of these parts. -

Very beautiful rig. I like the details you added. That milk chocolate looks good enough to eat! lol. -
Nice work on the engine and chassis. I used the same hood on mine.

I like a lot of other peoples builds. But, I absolutely LOVE this one! Can you put me in your will? I would be proud to display it in my model cabinet. It is STUNNING! -
Thank you. Gold and black is one of my favorite color combos. I have had (3) 1:1 Grand Prix's painted in that combo.

That is AWESOME! I bet you could use the same techniques to make a nice Food Truck. -
Very nice rig. Congratz on its rapid completion.

I see. I vaguely remember those rims on a mid 60's Vette I built when I was a teenager.

Nice job! It seems the combination was pretty rare. http://www.musclecarsworld.com/1970-dodge-super-bee-fm3-panther-pink-1-of-32/

Very very nice indeed. I humbly suggest the Keystone Klassics should have the black inserts painted like the 1:1. It can be done with a toothpick. -
