That is quite a stunning build. I would love to have it in my display case. I would even build a trailer for it.

I did some research online to find that all three of the 65 consoles are a poor excuse of an automatic transmission console. They sit too low, do not have the proper amount of forward drop and do not have enough material to reach/attach to the bottom of the dash. Besides I am going all 4-speeds which means they are all wrong to begin with. I have started to fabricate new consoles from some styrene I-beam. I am going to create the shifter porch/surround from unused Bonneville custom grille(s). Below is a rough mock up of where I am headed. I just need two more custom grilles to cut up.

Unless there is difference in the front fenders I am missing, I would not anticipate it would be too difficult to simply add in the hood, revised grille, tail panel, B-pillar and bench seat on a separate sprue. It would be up to the builder to add in these pieces. The standard 383 in the Super Bee is visually similar to the R/T's 440. Either of them could get a 426 Hemi. The Super Bee came with a Charger dash which I imagine are plenty around even if the kit does not come with one.

I am building 3 '65's and a '66. Thanks for the info on the 8-lugs. (Not that I can change the caps at this point) -
Continuing with all 4 interior bits. Erased (sanded and scraped) window cranks from interior tubs. Going to create window cranks from craft store bits. Modified all the seat bases to properly tuck in. Fabricated shifters with boots for three of the 4-speed shifters.

If you build one. I will follow your build. I have two convertibles and 2 hardtops with opening doors. (very intimidating)

Hit my Salem, OR HL today. Got another parts donor Pro Street Nova for $13.79. I also grabbed some paints, brushes, Molotow, and other detailing stuff from other departments. The shelves were pretty well stocked with kits I already have. I did see an empty spot for the new Revell 71 442 I have been hankering for.

Good luck on your diorama. Mine went WAY over budget but it turned out pretty nice. View the details and see what could work for you. My walls are foam board covered in white brick paper from Hobby Lobby. The floor is layers of a tall narrow poster with checkerboard paper under clear. It includes a layer of sheet metal so that I could install magnets in the bottom of tipsy items. I just recently got some figures for it. Thanks Bob, I was shooting for a darker red but this is what came out. It is pretty though. Robert, Cool story. I am semi-replicating a 66 2+2 I saw at a car show many years ago. Thank you David.

Thanks Bob, I wanted metallic black. Thanks Robert, I have been enjoying it so far. I have owned this kit for quite some time. The color is Testors Metallic black from a bottle. Airbrushed it using 50% lacquer thinner. I used to watch Iron Resurrection back when I had cable.
