*1956 Ford Truck Pro Street*
Steve H replied to Zippi's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Wow Bob, this one turned out really nice, it really speaks to me. I love all things pro street, and the white with black trim is a great look, and…. NO FOIL!!. You did a very nice job on this, especially since you stepped out of your comfort zone a bit. Well done! Cheers, Steve -

ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW !!! You knocked that out of the park Bob, it’s killer! The stance is perfect, love the wheel choice too. With regards to the paint, I think it looks amazing as is, but in the future don’t be afraid to play with semi gloss or flat clears, the effects can be quite awesome. Another very nice nice build sir, well done ?. I will look for it under glass. -

Nice progress on this James. When I’m kit bashing, not everything ends up “mechanically accurate”, so my input would be have fun with it and don’t sweat the details too much. Redneck engineer the heck out of it! It’s looking great. Cheers, Steve -
Very nice details David. The electronics including the screen/ monitor really look the part. Do you plan on adding any wires at the back of the electronic cabinet? It literally looks like the back of a big stereo receiver, very well done sir. The fan and motor is top shelf too. Cheers, Steve

Luke, Luke, Luke…. I completely missed this one. I joined the forum in mid 2020 so I never saw it. I will be going back and doing a thorough read from beginning to end. Very nice!! Is this one in the “yard sale”?!

Oh boy…. This is going to be good. I have a bunch of Holden Ute photos on my tablet as inspiration for future builds. Hoping that one gets on the bench soon because I know I will be inspired to dive in. I really love the older Holden’s, and the Aussie Ute’s, so cool. Cheers mate

Wow!! Gareth, you had an amazing year of building. You also inspired me to buy a couple of rigs. Not sure yet when I will build them. Knowing absolutely nothing about rigs, they will be an adventure. Cheers mate, Steve

Dry nicely done Gene. Absolutely perfect colour combo, and crisp finishing. Cheers, Steve

Awesome builds Bill! I particularly like the gold (champagne?) Stang. Very well done. I’m looking forward to seeing more progress on the Elky. -
All very nice looking builds, but my fav hands down is the murdered out Buick. Cheers, Steve
-
Lots of great stuff there Lee. I like the variety of build subjects. Cheers, Steve

Great year Oliver! It’s a toss up between the 66 Caddy and the 56 Tbird for me. All are beauties though, nicely done. Cheers, Steve

Hi Phil! Absolutely beautiful builds as always. Not sure how you manage so many very high quality builds in a year… The bonus is I get to see theses in person. All the best for the holiday season to you and yours. Cheers, Steve

Hi Anton, thanks for sharing that. That car has a lot of similarities to the car I’m building. Great shot of the headlight area, flush rear bumper too. Hoping to have a worthwhile update in a day or 2. Happy Holidays!! Cheers, Steve

Hi All. First I’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and hope you all have wonderful holiday season. I also hope 2022 brings some relief from the “heaviness” of the past couple of years. I know most of us here on the forum have been thankful to be able to continue to enjoy this amazing hobby, even in difficult times. Thank you for sharing your tips, tricks, tools, and incredible craftsmanship! My 3, only 3…. I need to pick up the pace! ‘66 Oldsmobile Ol Comino, ‘65 Impala wagon, Chrysler 300c Cheers, Steve

Thanks for sharing that Anthony, I had absolutely no idea that kit was anything like that. The wheels on box art were always a “NO” for me, so I never gave the kit a second look. I will definitely keep an eye out for one now. The box art is deceiving… Cheers, Steve

Wow Luke, that engine and chassis are killer! I need one of those engines, it’s a beast. What colour did you use on the air filter please? Looks perfect… as does the rest of the engine.
-
Hi Donn, beautiful build all round. The paint is flawless, and the engine is really nicely detailed. I have a question about the wheels if I may? I looked at the JDS site, it looked like mostly slot a r stuff, could you help me with what size you ordered. I “NEED” some of those wheels, they’re awesome. Cheers, Steve
