  1. Not only are the builds all top notch but his thorough description of the steps taken in the process provide a tremendous benefit to modelers looking to improve their own work.
  2. Thanks David. Thanks Jim.
  3. Thanks Steve.
  4. Okay, well thanks for the info on the color David.
  5. Looks very good Charlie and the black/aqua combination was fairly common in that era I believe.
  6. Interesting. I've had better success laying down smoother topcoats by not misting the clear on the final coats. I've yet to have a finish level perfectly without any orange peel that didn't require wet sanding or polishing. So I'm thinking I still haven't perfected laying down enough but not too much clear. This topic has been an informative read.
  7. Great work on both Mustangs. What is the color on the '66? It's not one I see often and I like that.
  8. Very impressive. Great detail work.
  9. Thank you Cliff.

    58 Buick

Spectacular build and colors on this one. First time I've ever seen a scale model of a '58 Buick.
  11. Thanks Chris I do prefer the showroom look even if it's not completely accurate. Thank you Chris. Thanks Hector, I have about a half of a can left so probably one more model in this color.
  12. That is a gorgeous clear coat on this Mustang.
  13. Thanks Larry, it's a basic but fun kit to build.
  14. The red works great Gareth and Pontiac actually went with a darker blue/red combo on the '74 Trans Am which worked well.
  15. In addition to being a great build what really works on this one is the color combination.
  16. Thanks Chang, I'm mostly satisfied with this one though there is always room for improvement. Thank you Al.
  17. Another spectacular build indeed. I wasn't aware of this one though.
  18. Thanks Gareth, blackwashing the wheels made a significant difference versus my first build of this kit when I didn't blackwash.
  19. Thanks Glen these Buicks aren't always posted.
  20. Thanks Carl, I have about a half a can of this color left for one more model. Thanks David.
  21. Nice work Jim. What do you use for the turn signals? I realize it's just a small detail but I really like the look on this model.. I noticed with the most recent sheet of BMF I purchased it doesn't blend as well at corners probably due to the thickness of the sheet as you mentioned. The previous sheet I used however was a bit too thin like Mike mentioned and there were cracks throughout the sheet and it was difficult to use.
  22. Thanks Christopher. Thanks David. Thank you Mike.
  23. Thanks Steve. And yes the amber lights are incorrect (and for that matter the side marker lights also) but for some reason it's just something I always like to do. Thanks Eric. Thanks Mark. Thanks Michal Thanks Tom. Thanks Gerald. Yes it's one of many great Tamiya colors l like.
  24. Great work on an impressive looking car.
  25. Looks great overall and nice engine compartment detailing. I always thought the '87-'88 Thunderbirds were the best looking of the Fox body era.
