  1. Now this is REAL plastic surgery. Very impressive.
  2. A real custom - and a real treat.
  3. Beautiful.
  4. Bring this one home! The crowds demand it!
  5. Fantastic! You're making it look too easy - this is really challenging work. It's starting to have a bit of a Prowler vibe. To make it more practical, you could use a perimeter frame, drop the seats as much as possible, and bump out the firewall for leg room (see a Jag XKE).
  6. Wonderful on all counts.
  7. If you want to strengthen a join, apply a fat line of regular superglue along the inner side of the join, then cover with baking soda. Only do this where you won't want to remove any, as it sets up almost like stone. I do this quite a bit, since I only build customs myself.
  8. You're brave doing a custom for your fourth model. Good start with the new trunk area. A candle!?! More bravery! What kind of plastic did you use? I try to make sure body parts are very well attached and supported I often use super glue plus baking soda for an easy reinforcement on the back side where it won't show. Helps to avoid problems when I'm cutting, shaping and so forth.

    Cobra Wagon

Excellent custom! If you redid it using a 289 Cobra, it would look even more like a production AC from Britain.
  10. Outstanding work! This kind of building takes so much skill, patience and time, time, time. A superb example of what our hobby can be.
  11. Just beautiful. Well done!
  12. Wonderful. Creativity in action. Love it!
  13. Its great to see a Stratos on the Forum. Beautiful job.
  14. Great choice of subject and great execution!
  15. Just beautiful. Really impressive.
  16. Looking good. BTW, this kit is available from Revellogram; AM is out of business.
  17. It's great to see a custom, it being a Mini makes it even more so, and the scale engineering ties it all together. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Looks good. I tried to help by finding photos of the C1, particularly rear and side views. I've attached what I found. The-Blueprints.com does have a four-way of the C4. I'm wondering about the rear fenders: the C1 appears to have blunter-ending fenders than the C2. Perhaps similar to an early Vette.
  19. This model exemplifies the most important element of our hobby: creativity. Kudos!
  20. Great concept and execution - a real holiday treat to see. Thanks for sharing.

    Jaguar XKSS

    Simply exceptional.
  22. That was not easy. The can doesn't say what it is (other than listing the nasty ingredients). The website doesn't even list the high gloss black as an aerosol (they do carry airbrush paint) or what type of paint their products are. Amazon does identify it as a lacquer.
  23. Spaz Stix makes a gloss black for use under their chrome spray paint. I've used it that way, never under anything else, but it might work for you.
