Same way the Mustang LX with the innacurate roof, the '67 Camaro with multiple problems, and many other seriously flawed kits got through to production in recent years.. Perhaps a mix of incompetence, indifference, ignorance, and the attitude that mediocre is 'good enough' for 'toys' ?....it certainly seems that Revell doesn't take their customers or product as seriously as the leaders in the hobby do. As far as the C7R, the biggest issue IMO isn't the brakes, but that it's the wrong scale. For an endurance series racing car, it should be 1/24th as it does compete at the international level of motorsport.
