  1. Great to see an Ala Kart model built. I have been a fan since I first saw pictures of it as a kid and still plan to build one someday. I have a large poster of it from Rodder's Journal hanging over my hobby bench.
  2. Beautiful. One of my most wanted models. Like the real car the kits are rare and expensive. Does the mold still exist? If so, why has it not been reissued?
  3. I am enjoying seeing your "vintage" builds. Keep em coming.
  4. Great restoration. I have always like the styling of the early Toronados. Well presented
  5. Gorgeous build of an unusual subject. Great photos too.
  6. Very well done after a 10 year lay off. Build on.
  7. It is always great to see a Deuce build. Hard to believe this is 20 years old as it still looks fresh.
  8. Thanks Charles - Just started applying decals today so it is getting close to being done.
  9. I just dug my kit out which is the #84 Pro-Am Leasing Camaro in a blue and silver livery. If your kit like mine is molded in blue you could always just clear over the blue. Tamiya has many blues and I have most of them but for the most part they are darker than the car on the box. Tamiya French Blue with Pearl Clear must be an option. If you have a hobby shop near by you could take the kit to the shop and compare charts which are also available on-line. It is a pretty nice kit so I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
  10. This is a great project. I can never resist following a Deuce build.
  11. I do not often look at the truck sections of the forum but I am glad I did today. I am really enjoying this tread. A 29 Cab PU has been on my want to build list for a very longtime.
  12. Thanks Steve - That is going to be wickedly cool and pro-touring actually crossed my mind as I was taking the photos
  13. Body in white I id not do any work on this project during September to build a model of a friend's Model A street-rod but since the beginning of October I have been working away at it as time permits. I did have a few issues getting everything to fit and stay together like the hood in particular with its extra underneath structure. As a point of interest - the real car did run with a gap at the front of the hood for extra cooling !! The paint is Tamiya Bright White. Next will be the Fred Cady decal application which I am sure will be challenging over the rear spoiler and license plate area. The next time you see this will likely be Under Glass hopefully by early November.
  14. This has got to be the most detailed 1/24 engine I have ever seen. It is a work of art unto itself.
  15. I truly stunning model and outstanding photography
  16. Great photos of a very nice build.
  17. Thanks for posting this great news. I am definitely going to get one of these campers and the Kombi when it comes out even though I have unbuilt Revell and Hasegawa 21 Windows in my stash. I have always wanted to build a model of the 65 Sunroof that I had from 72 to 76 which I camperized and got in very good mechanical condition but never got the exterior how I wanted it. My 65 was kind of a rarity in that it was not a Microbus but had a sunroof and also a pass through forward bulkhead.
  18. It is fun to see the two Munster-mobiles together. Both look very well built. I remember getting a kick out of seeing them when they first appeared on the TV show.
  19. This may look better than the real thing. Well done.
  20. It looks good from my vantage point. Is this the Tamiya or Revell version?
  21. Looks good as Phaeton.
  22. A couple of cool looking El Caminos. The white one is a very close replica of the real thing. I am intrigued as to where and how much the beds were shortened on both the model and the 1/1.
  23. I did not know what I was going to see when I opened your post but I was greeted with a surprisingly gorgeous model. Well built.
  24. I saw a brand new 69 Boss 429 at Mall display. Have always wanted to build a model of one. By the way the 70 Boss 429 did not have the side scoops. It has always been my plan to use the Revell 70 429 to which I would add side scoops and front and rear ends from a 69.
  25. WOW - When you are finished with this I am sure you could could qualify as Chief Engineer at Superformance building 1/1 Cobras.
