  1. Awesome work on this! The grille looks great, well worth the effort. David G.
  2. What a great set! Do you have any close up shots of the markings? David G.
  3. What you have so far looks great. Paint issues are a bummer but they can usually be corrected or addressed in some way. I hope you can get yours easily sorted out. David G.
  4. Thanks for the update Bob. Although it doesn't often get that cold in Phoenix, I have painted outdoors when it was in the low 50's. Like I said, warm paint, warm surface, no problem. I'm glad yours worked out for you. David G.
  5. What a great idea, it looks perfect! Nicely done. David G.
  6. Beautiful Pontiac! I love the color and detail work. David G.
  7. It's nice to see an update on this. Your detail work is excellent. David G.
  8. Beautiful work on this one! The paint and foil look great, excellent choice on the wheels and engine. David G.
  9. It seems to me that as long as the paint and the surface you're painting are warm enough, there should be no problem. In the Midwest where you are, condensation due to the change in temperature and humidity when transferring the painted item between the garage and the house may be a bigger concern. But there would have to be a significant difference between the two areas. Let us know how it works out Bob. David G.
  10. Beautiful work, everything looks spot-on! Excellent photos too. David G.
  11. I just found this thread and now that I'm all caught up with it... Holy Cow! [family friendly exclamation] I've heard about kits like this but I've never seen one built. It's absolutely astounding... the level of detail, the precision. Just about anyone who has built more than one model car has probably dreamed of building a kit like this one. You're doing amazing work with an amazing kit. Thanks for taking the time to share your progress with us. David G.
  12. Sweet roadster! Love the chrome bomber seats. David G.
  13. Beautiful paint and assembly! It reminds me of one of those Auto-Rama show cars from the Seventies. David G.
  14. This looks like a fun build, you're off to a great start. David G.
  15. Beautiful paint and decal work, looks flawless! Or as we used to say back in the day... "Bitchin' van Dude!" David G.
  16. The rear clip and interior look great! It's a bummer about the respray. But at least you have experience with this issue and have a solid plan to address it. David G.
  17. Nice paint and foil work. David G.
  18. Beautiful paintwork, great color. Looks great so far! David G.
  19. Fabulous color combination, excellent interior and a clean solid build, what's not to like? David G.
  20. Beautiful work as always Bob. Everything looks just right on this one. David G.
  21. It looks fantastic! It could qualify as Box Art in its own right. David G.
  22. Hello Everybody! Back in the WIP thread on 9/28/2021 at 12:52 PM, doorsovdoon said: "wow, she shines! Reminds me of a cast metal trophy. That would look awesome on a wooden plinth." It turns out that I actually have a plinth, well something like a plinth anyway. It's really the lid from a cremation urn that I got from work because it was damaged during shipping. So by Gareth's @doorsovdoon suggestion, here are some shots of the "Trophy Edition" of the 1959 Chrysler Imperial. And of course, my traditional Display Case Shot. That about wraps this one up. Thanks to those who offered their support, suggestions, comments and thoughts. I do appreciate all the feedback. David G.
  23. As usual Bob, a beautiful choice of colors. Excellent engine and chassis work too. David G.
  24. Nice wheels and stance Bob. It just says "Zoom!" David G.
  25. Excellent choice on the engine. The body mods and corrections you're making are mind blowing! Fantastic work on this so far. David G.
