  1. I bought this kit at a model show a while back for $5 bucks. Someone had painted the body with cheap spray paint that came off after a half hour soak in Purple stuff. The rest of the parts are on the sprues. The proportions don't quite look right, but it has the front and rear wings. I am trying to decide whether to build it box stock or use the Monogram Countach with the MPC wing to have the Cannonball car. Anyone built this kit? It looks pretty simplified.
  2. Yoday, a couple of clearance Porsche 914s from HL, a clearance Italeri Porsche from HobbyTown and an Alumilite casting kit from HL.
  3. It looks amazing!
  4. Sounds like a good solution. I used the same wheels and tires on mine, but just kept the four lugs.
  5. If it's okay, here's my latest finished kit.
  6. Not familiar with these, what scale are they?
  7. If they come out with the Cruising Van version with the decals, I'll definitely get a couple. I always wanted a real one when I was a kid!
  8. I built the Revell Toyota snap kit like this a couple years ago. I'll be getting at least a couple of these!
  9. I heard that the Scout SS version is going to be re-released, is that true?
  10. Looks great! It seems to me AMT is missing an opportunity to add another kit to their lineup for not too much investment. Take the Lil Red Express kit, add the slant six from one of their other kits, tool up some steel wheels and dog dishes and have a whole 'nother kit to release.
  11. I bought Greg Wann's casting a couple years ago. I got as far as painting the body before I got distracted by something else. I don't know where he got the master, but I can say it was excellent. A couple small pinholes and that was it. It isn't as all encompassing parts-wise as the Scale Production one, but still great!
  12. As far as new tooling, wasn't the 1978 Cadillac the last of that breed, or was it just updated from a previous version?
  13. Someone has a 1972 Gran Torino in 1/25th resin. Maybe you could combine the two and have a 1976 wagon?
  14. I would like to have some of those too. I used to have a 1:1 Nite Edition F-150.
  15. There is one available in diecast 1/24th scale. I think it's made by Round 2 and has been released a few times as the WIX Air Filters truck and Valero truck which was sold in their gas stations. It's not bad looking and would probably be a good basis for a detailed build. It's always on eBay.
  16. Following this. I have one of these still in the box that I got and couldn't think of what to do with it.
  17. I like it on this widebody. I think it looks better than the huge one on the GT2. It kind of emphasizes the hips.
  18. Nice, does it use the regular Fujimi 911 chassis?
  19. Cool build! You always have the nicest things. I'm on a Porsche and VW kick right now, so this very interesting.
  20. For me, the 1960 F-100, I have three, two I've built, the 1963 F-100 that is in need of re-building, the Monogram Land Rover that is in process and the Otaki Porsche 911 in the to be built pile.
  21. I finished this one a few minutes ago. It's the Tamiya 993 chassis GT2 Road Version This kit and I have had our issues, (when a youtube tip says you can dry paint on a kit body in a very low oven, don't listen) but with a replacement body from Tamiya and a couple l times in the paint stripping tank, I got it done. The idea is of a stock used 911 that some maybe some shade tree mechanic got ahold of and modified as a fun track day street car. The paint is Tamiya Panzer grey and Valspar yellow and the wheels are a set of cast metal Panasports and wheels from Aoshima. The rear hood is a self cast Duck bill copy from a Fujimi kit. I used the stock seats and covered those and the door cards with plaid. It needs some weathering but right now, I'm just happy to be finished. Thoughts, tips and ideas of course welcome.
  22. Looking good! Have you done the Cobra from Gumball Rally?
