  1. Great looking Kustom body work and the paint treatment especially.
  2. I like the styling changes you made to the interior and the body color and the stripes look good together.
  3. Great clean looking build and I like the stance.
  4. Beautiful looking build. I have seen so many of these 1:1 still being Rally'd in the Nostalgia Rally racing on YouTube. Your detailing is very cleanly done inside and out.
  5. Beautiful looking finishes and the trim detailing is outstanding. I got to followed your build and I think you might want to post a link for anyone who didn't so that thay can better appreciate all that you have done here.
  6. Beautiful looking showroom style build. I agree with you, these are great kits but you need to do a lot of trial fits before you commit to glue.
  7. Beautifully built and detailed. The award is well deserved.
  8. I remember seeing work done on this thru the years and glad to see it finished. Looking at the build pictures you can this was a labor of love. Great looking colors and the fine details on all the moldings are outstanding.
  9. Beautiful clean looking build.
  10. I look forward to whatever you do with this. Since you have a few unbuilt issues of this kit you may want to build one of those just so that they can be displayed together when done.
  11. Great looking interior. I think they were trying so hard to get the engine mounts like the 1:1 they ended up with a mounting that can give a builder brain damage trying to get it right.

    Show Rod

The '58 Chevy aft section looks good but you didn't mention the Edsel style grill shell.
  13. I like your "dare to be different" engine choice.
  14. I really like all the things you have done to this since you got it. The next time you try lowering or raising the front end look at how the shackles may affect your ride height.
  15. Usually these would have had very little to no overspray of paint when new. The ones I remember putting hands on were anything from surface rust to very greasy depending on the condition of the seals.
  16. A lot of that was caused by the California Smog laws. Their thinking was we didn't need a vacuum advance unit on our Distributers, and we should have the timing retarded to the point that the Combustion Chamber would remain hot enough to ignite any remaining fuel in the Combustion Chamber when the ignition was turn off. This was often referred to as "dieseling" because of the sound as the engine would sputter to a stop. The plus side was if you had a manual transmission, you could hold your foot on the brakes and release the clutch with the car in gear as this would stop the engine without any further damage to the internals of the engine.
  17. I have used the Tamiya paint stands for several years and I do like it, but for many years I would just use an old metal coat hanger twisted around to fit what ever I was painting. The draw back is that it is a little tippy unless you mount it to some sort of solid base and an old block of wood seems to work just fine. I have seen many here who use an old tall spray can and tape it to the headliner area in the body. A lot of great paint jobs done in this fashion.
  18. The White Wall tires look as if you have tires from three different sources. Revell has offered tires in a few kits, '56 Chevy comes to mind, where the white Wall is a separate plastic part that you would insert in the Rubber Tire. As Mark mentioned the wheels are Cragers and have a nice offset and one very good source would be the AMT '65 El Camino and there are others as well.
  19. You mention the '67 Chevelle Pro Street tires, do you have the whole kit or suspension? Are you thinking of narrowing the differential with some of the rear tires under the body or a standard width rear end and the tires outside of the body ?

    1969 Camaro Z-28

Great looking Camaro and the details under the hood look good.

    1969 corvette

I like the color combination and the paint finish looks great. Nicxe clean detail painting on the engine and chassis. With the white wall tires the hub caps you used look very nice.
  22. Great looking color on your build and I like the stripes. Just a question for someone who doesn't understand all of the significands of the fender stripes. I notice that on your 1:1 you have them going in one direction and a different direction on your model, does this have any meaning at all or does it not matter ?
  23. I like the bare metal look.
  24. Beautiful looking truck. Looks like some of the old NAPCO conversions done before the factories started offering four wheel drive. With the contrasting colors between the body and fenders this would make a great company truck with some sort of product or company name on the doors.
  25. The like the way this has been distressed. The finishes all look very realistic. Sort of like a car parked on the beach at low tide and then set out to rot.
