Beautiful looking finishes and good color selection for the body.

I like your theme on this build. I also relied on Bill Geary's information when I built one. The back side of the headlight buckets can also get in the way and need some additional sanding for clearance. Great looking detailing on the wheels and tires.
-
I like the enlarged rear wheel openings. Way back when many who were running a '57 Chevy would have only the grill cross bar with the turn signals still working. That color of green should work well and even open up to so many names having to do with green. A Gasser has to have a name.

Maybe have the rear window open upward from the tailgate. You could put a surf board sticking out on top of the tailgate and the rear window eitheer up or down resting on the surf board. I'd put a "towel" between the surf board and the rear window in that case.

Great looking suspension work.

Looks real smooth. The foil should cover the transition between the blue and the white. Be sure there is no parting line between the colors from when you masked the area.

Beautiful looking foil job.

This should be interesting, I'm looking forward to seeing this build.

Great looking pictures. Nothing like the sound waves beating on your chest when you're around the Top Fuel Dragsters. -

So many great looking cars and trucks. I'm a big fan of the Woodies. Looking at the background of these pictures and seeing the Ocean reminds me of the salt air, my sines just cleared up, you can almost hear the Sea Gulls in the background. -
At Walmart (at least one store)

First sighting, for me anyway. I went to the local Wally World to get a cabin filter for our Charger. They seem to have the best price around often less than the big name auto parts stores when they are having a sale. I was leaving and noticed a display across the isle from the toy section. The only real price advantage seemed to be on any Coke issued models. At least there is hope that they may stock a wider selection in the future. -
Recessed windshield wipers are making a comeback
espo replied to peteski's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
peteski makes a good point about the wipers position on American cars. My '66 Impala SS and '67 El Camino had exposed wipers. My '68 Bel Air had them hidden. NOBLNG's comment on problems in snowy areas was so true. At that time I lived in the San Bernardino mountains in Southern California and during the winter months I would place a large sheet of card board over the lower portion of the windshield to keep the snow from building up over night in that area. Even exposed wipers during really cold and snowy or sleet driving conditions are a real problem keeping the wipers from freezing into a solid block. Something I noticed a few years ago was some Chrysler Vans had heating elements along the bottom edge of their windshields much like a rear window defroster. Always wondered why this wasn't offered on more cars and trucks long ago. My wife's '21 Jeep Cherokee has these heaters on the windshield so maybe manufactures are finally paying attention to something that really can be a safety feature if you live in places with winter weather. How much could this really have cost them to produce ?? -
Now you have me wondering. I used the suspension and engine on the '56 Del Ray kit and I remember putting the rear wheel well flares in a parts box. I do recall the decals being for the BFG livery since I had built that kit manmy years ago,
-
I remember building this when they first came out. I think Revell also had a Ford F-100 pick up, a '56 Ford Convertible, and a Chrysler.
-
I picked up a couple of the BFG reissues a few years ago and the rear fender flares in those kits had them as an add on. These are also a gold mine of parts for other projects.

I learned a lot watching you build the Camper Shell on this. The paint finish is exceptional. -
Another great looking Catalina. I like the blue interior on this one.
-
Beautiful looking paint work. You have to be brave to take a picture that close to the body, but it does show how smooth it is. I like the interior and the body trim is all very clean looking.
-
Looks great. I always liked the Nurf Bar Bumpers from this kit.
-
Sorry to hear about your paint issues but it sounds like you have that under control now. The Black exterior with the Red Interior will look sharp. Was that the color combination of your T-Bird ?
-
I like your idea fore the red line tires. Interior and chassis looks ready to go.
-
Your build ios really look'n good. I like the body color.

I picked up MC #210 and the Moebius '65 Plymouth Belvedere I kit at my local model shop. I'm thinking about something in red that might have been seen on Colorado Blvd. back in the day. I know the song was about a Super Stock Dodge but they aren't that much different from one another.
