  1. I feel the burn.
  2. I had a customer back in the late '60's that had a camper, just like the one in the kit, that he was trying to sell me. The chassis on the 1:1 was a two axel with duel rear tires, if this helps.
  3. Great looking finish and leave it to MoPar when it comes to Graphics. A Bandit Trans Am is about the only thing that would come close. Nice interior.
  4. Beautiful looking model of one of my favorite cars. The unusual color combination looks good together. I like the way you detailed the chassis and drive train, very accurate looking.
  5. Beautiful looking paint and being an OEM color it looks just right. Very clean body trim also.
  6. Beautiful paint finish and I like the way the interior colors are done. Great details including the owner's manual mounted by the spare tire. I had to go back and relook at the pictures to find the crack you mentioned. In the one picture I only noticed it because you mentioned it.
  7. Outstanding paint finish and the trim is all very clean looking. Some of the pictures it's hard to tell if they're BMW publicity pictures or the model.
  8. One thing about the 40 % off coupon at Hobby Lobby is that it's off of their inflated MSRP. The kits that I'm interested in have a suggested list price of around $30. The same kit at a local Hobby Shop that I go to is around $26 to $27 for the exact same kit. The Hobby Shop is selling their kits at the manufactures suggested list price and that gives everyone a little mark up that they deserve. While the Hobby Lobby after 40% coupon price may still be a dollar or more less expensive they just don't seem to have the selection and the latest issue models as the standalone Hobby Shop that I go to. I would suggest you shop around before making any big purchases.
  9. You have mentioned the hoses on the inner fenders. On the driver's side this would be part of the electrical wiring and can easily be detailed with some flat or semi-gloss black paint. On the passenger side it is hard to say what they represent. The heater hoses are a separate part. Setting the front suspension for ride height you can change the mounting angle of the control arms, upper and lower, somewhat but removing the spindles and remounting them further up on the upright will gain maybe a scale inch or two.
  10. This is beautiful looking and very realistic finishes.
  11. Nice clean looking cots removing the roof insert. I'm admiring your blade handle, I don't think I have ever seen one like it and it looks sturdy as well.
  12. Try looking under "Finned Fiberglass Boats" I found a lot of great looking photos.
  13. Perfect color for this Mercury. Remember this being a fairly common color for them when they were new. Very cleanly detailed trim and I like your photo backdrop .
  14. Beautiful looking paint and the decals are very eye catching as well. I wonder what sort of power plant you're running here ? I like your tire selections also.
  15. Very cleanly built and the paint finish looks great.
  16. Beautiful looking build. The paint finish is better than anything Ford had to offer at that time. I have always enjoyed the way you strive for accuracy in your builds and the cleanly detailed trim and paint.
  17. I look forward to seeing what all you make out of this.
  18. This 1959 Chevrolet themed boat reminds me of others that were marketed by Glastron and others in the 1950's. Most were not as model specific as this, but most had automotive type fins a big styling Q of the time.
  19. This is the concept I have always thought for a model company to follow to amortize tooling costs. As for your model suggestions I would be a buyer for most of them myself.
  20. I have a shelf in my "Cave" where I display models of cars I have owned through the years. Amazing thoughts sometimes come to mind when I happen to spend any time looking at them. I have always liked and enjoyed cars more than most even since childhood. This is why I suggested the extra efforts to preserve this model as it would represent a very special time in your life. Do what I have suggested and remember to look at it often when ever you need something to cheer you up or put your life in prospective and see if I'm not right about this, and good luck to you and your young family going forward in life.
  21. This problem is what started making model companies to start shrink wrapping models in the first place. Used to be they could keep "The honest people" out of the kits with just a couple of pieces of scotch tape. That lasted about a year or so and then they had to go to the shrink wrap packaging.
  22. Very clean looking standard Olds. I would put this in a plastic case to protect it as this has to bring back so many pleasant Firsts in your life. The Childs Seat in the back is the perfect touch.
  23. Great looking paint work, I like the White with Black trim.
  24. Looks like some of the late '70's street racers. The Pinto offered a Sedan Delivery type option and they also had a paint stripes that really changed the personality of the little car. I like the way you built yours here.

    Pontiac Fiero

Great looking Fiero. I like the way you detailed the interior and front and rear trunks. All of the finishes look good.
